Because make-up is needed to make intolerable women attractive.

Exactly.

Think of it this way; you don't just get into the NFL by living a normal life and exercise regimen while also eating Doritos and spending time on IMGflip. You get there by working your butt off day after day and building your body to the limit of its natural capabilities.

Likewise, makeup itself just enhances your own intrinsic beauty. Performance-boosting drugs break athletes out of their intrinsic limits and therefore have a relative impact on athletic capability FAR greater than makeup does to a model.

"natural capabilities."

So... How is makeup "natural capabilities?"

No, makeup brings out something you already had. It brings you nearer to your natural limit of beauty, if such a thing exists. Likewise working out brings you nearer to the natural limit of your abilities.

Steroids and serious surgery both artificially raise those limits beyond what you were born with. I close my case.

Pink makeup? White lipstick? Glitter? Not buying.

Your prerogative I suppose.

Yeah, when I think about it, it really doesn't seem as though makeup can be compared to PEDs in the sense that makeup brings out different styles of beauty whereas PEDs are simply for enhancing performance and not about 'style' in any way.

Although, maybe not makeup, but other areas of more artificial beauty such as plastic surgery, botox, lip fillers, etc. are more comparable to the PED argument. As opposed to makeup, those actually do involve more permanent alterations the way PEDs do.

That's what I'm getting at. You can't just go knock it out of the park in the NFL or a beauty contest. You have to work out and get in shape/apply makeup.

Or you can completely change something about yourself via PED's/body modification.

“Performance boosting drugs” will get you kicked off of your team.

So that means Make-up should get chicks kicked outta beauty pageants.

The entire crux of my argument has been the opposite. My stance is that makeup is to beauty as working out is to the NFL; you need it to some degree if you want to be competitive.

But then the chicks with natural beauty get left out because of this makeup making everyone better looking.

Makeup can't change your basic physical shape. A lot of beauty is determined by anatomy and the actual/relative location of your facial features, according to most science on the subject. Makeup just improves your skin tone to highlight these features.

Some people are born with bodies more suited to running than not. Everyone can work out, but that doesn't mean everyone will be equally capable physically.

I can’t argue with this here, you may be the smartest person I’ve had an “argument” with on Imgflip. Also the most intelligent conversation I’ve had on here in a while. Thank you for that. And thank you for not being an asshole while defending your views. You have convinced me.

Thank YOU for keeping it civil and constructive in turn, my friend. It's not often you hear, "You have convinced me." on the internet. I'm honored by your praise!

You should be. There’s a lot of dicks on here.

Lmao I tend to somehow find every sensitive person who is an asshole on here and they try to fight me. Eventually they just give up, I don’t pick fights, I end them.

maybe because they think they need makeup to be pretty but athletes can be talented at what they do without steroids

In case you were wondering about that post you had with Memr, no, I wasn't being dishonest with you, I commented on some things before you explained yourself to me. I am truly fine with you.

I agree with this sentiment 100%
Cosmetics are a scam to con massive amounts of money from women, and now they are going for men too. Who the hell wants to or needs to spend hundreds of dollars a month to fake “beauty”? Natural is beautiful.

That's my point!
1 Peter 3:3-4 ESV
Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

Literally every girl I see is basically a f**king monstrous barbie thot robot who wastes their self esteem with filters on Snapchat! And now women (and males) have lost acceptance for who and how they grow up to identify as; and it always sickens me even more when they boast and curse others so egotistically without regards to what reality is. I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE TO LOOK GOOD, THE ONLY THING I'M LOOKING FOR IS A PERSONALITY, NOT A GO***MN LITTLE SENSITIVE EGO! Modernity has really hit how we see ourselves really poorly, sadly, and a pandemic isn't helping us learn.
3 ups, 3y
I may be a girl, but I kind of support this. Personality is all that matter in my opinion.

Hi -closed- are you a Christian?

Excellent words. True beauty is truly skin deep; but it seemed that your observations is a product of parents not doing their job in instilling that.

However, there is also an external source... what they see on TV. They look at women dressed in such expensive fineries, caked with makeup, and unrealistically thin that made some girls starve themselves.

We don't see modesty anymore, speaks of which... we do not see chivalry either. Both sexes too concerned with the material world and external looks and popularity than character overall.

I did bible study a while ago, though I'll admit: my hidden conscience picks up the negative point-of-views remarkably on things I wouldn't normally argue on, even if it seems useless.
2 ups, 3y
I can see that. There are somethings that we wouldn't normally discuss as certain topics has never been of our interest. However, an idea or an impression slowly builds over time through casual observations until one day, an epiphany or a realization struck. Our senses are suddenly engaged because of the rightness, profundity, or wrongness of it or of it all.
