Congratulations on winning the Deep Dive award for going back thirty years or more and then ascribing to the average conservative what they do not, in fact, believe in regards to gun ownership. But as to Black people being armed, conservatives DO wonder why the average leftist is just FINE with Blacks killing Blacks in droves inside Chicago. I have to compare the two, since I first saw it maybe round '84, figuring it was the dubbed one but may have been the original for its rerelease.

It might have been only 4 years ago I saw the undubbed version, after watching it a ton. I always found the dubbing worked well because it's a pretty wacky movie anyway. Cundalini and Mudguts lol

I had joked about where did they get that Puerto Rican Adam Ant to play Johnny the Boy (the, "Hey, man..." talk in the last scene) since I first saw it, figuring they got some Bx PR-ish type to dub him.
But I don't recall noticing any difference in his voice in viewings all these years since (which is every time it's on tv), nor in the soundtrack, which Brian May's original had been described as "odd, angular, percussive...," so I have to watch the dubbed one in total to hear the music as well to see if it rings bells.

I do have a DVD with both versions, but it's stored with the gazillion other discs I bought when Barnes & Noble did its annual 3 for 2 sale. That was when I had my apt which I was hoping to move from, so just stored em at the house which I'd be visiting during the sale and so they piled up over the years in the basement with a ton of new LPs, etc.

btw, Reagan's action against guns while he was governor was specifically because of the Black Panthers, which is what the OP meme is aiming at and correctly so.
