You're right, it is a fact of life. Those in power lie. They will stop at nothing to protect their reign, all at the pain and expense of the general populace. They will oppress us as far as we allow, all while telling us it's for own own good. My hope is that we will not just lie back and allow what little freedom we have left to be robbed from us.

I think in America, the system needs a full rehaul to be more friendly to smaller parties, and we need to vote for those, so the main 2 can remain centrist. Keep the further left-wing stuff to the Green and Communist Parties, and keep the further right-wing stuff the the Libertarians. Keep the Democrats and Republicans centrist.

I do more research than you, I look at (at least) 2 sources. You only look at Qanon. I try to find if something is credible or not by looking at the right extreme source (Fox) the left extreme source (CNN) and the middle ground sources (CTV, CBC, NBC, ABC, BBC). If 2/7-4/7 agree, then I do further research. If 1/7 agree, then I throw it out. If 5/7 agree, I look to see if any other mainstream outlets do. If 6/7 or more agree, then I decide to accept it. You try doing that now, see how it goes.

And that is what is needed. We need to come together. But how can we if we continue to buy into the divisive rhetoric? Political, racial, religious, and even sexual differences are being exploited by those in power with the aid of what media they control. We are playing right into their hands by fighting among ourselves on these fronts, when the real battle is for our sovereignty, both personally and nationally. By design, we are being distracted from the real agenda of a global government that has no freedom and no privacy: a modern slavery, if you will. We can disagree on 100 things but agree that our freedom is as risk. And that should be enough to bring us together to retain it. But if we can't put aside our differences, at least for the time being, we will all lose our liberty.

So, what keeps us from protesting in the streets? Is it pride: the unwillingness to work with those we disagree with? Is it apathy? Or it is just plain unadulterated fear?
