Not the only examples. 1) Minimum wage, see FDR. 2) Democrats started calling anyone with one drop of Negro blood “black” are racist

Poor little snowflakes.

Don't like it when you're reminded that you participate in a system built by racists and have benefited from it, do you?

If you want that last part to be true, then you need to acknowledge the history of this country, and how specific groups have been deliberately oppressed. How that has left those groups at an economic disadvantage that is incredibly hard to overcome.

Shouting "that's not true!!!!" and then doing nothing to make sure everyone is treated equally won't change a thing. Which, I suspect, is what you want.

Hope you continue to enjoy 'Hating America First'. It would be nice to show a little gratitude (as I do) for being allowed the privilege of living in the greatest country this world has ever known. Wallowing in self-pity and playing the victim card did not contribute to American exceptionalism. Hard work from good Americans of all races made America great. Blaming others and whining about your lack of success never worked & placed those with your attitude in "time-out". Sorry to interrupt your 'pity party' for a message your parents were unable to instill in you.

America- love it or leave it. Don't like that we have a long and complex history of racism and oppression that still impacts peoples lives to this day? Leave it. No one is stopping you.

I hear Sudan is nice. You should like it there.

You're clearly not willing to fix anything as you profit from this oppression. Let me guess, "you have a bunch of Black friends" and "they say they're not oppressed at all." Does that sound right?

Your rose-glasses denials won't change the truth about this country, and your refusal to do any sort of hard work is typical of conservatives. Why change when that would require you to confront yourself and your participation in that system? You can just tell yourself you got there with hard work.

Name ALL of the oppressions that are in place in America and number them 1. 2. 3. 4. 5...

Here's a good place to start your reading. Once you're done, let me know, and I have more for you.

https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/race/reports/2018/02/21/447051/systematic-inequality/

But, in all honesty, I don't think you'll read that. You'll sit there in your certainty that you're right you won't confront your own lack of information and experience. You'll continue to think everything is fine, and not make any effort to change the world so it really is an equal place for everyone.

Because change is hard, and conservatives hate change above anything.

Still waiting on the 1-5 list of oppressions....
I realize it is hard to come up with a list when we all have equal rights and have for some time. After you attend to that, I will take a look at your article. Deal?

Like I said, you're not going to read any of that. Because it's quite lengthy and change is hard.

Constant harping about oppression yet when asked, you cannot answer what oppressions are suffered. That is because this is America and we consider each other to be equals.

You said, "You're clearly not willing to fix anything as you profit from this oppression." HOW can I profit from oppression if you cannot even name any oppressions? How can I fix anything if there is nothing broken?

1. Affirmative action, which judges people only by the color of their skin. Which benefits minorities and punishes whites.

Now your turn.

1) Affirmative Action, which acknowledges that people of color face economic and unspoken social prejudices that exclude them from professional positions and requires an employer to re-think their hiring practices rather than just give the job to an unqualified mediocre white guy like they've been doing for decades and decades and decades.

Which, I guess, punishes unqualified mediocre white men?

Your turn.

Actually it promotes candidates that aren't as qualified as these 'unqualified mediocre white men'. But screw meritocracy, amirite? Punish people in the name of 'equality'. Give me a break.

Except in the nba, then the diversity isn’t necessary

And as the robber in home invasion alarm commercials. That'll be 100% white for decades.

No, actually, it doesn't. Because people of color have to do more and prove more than the white guy who just showed up.

Perceived discrimination is real. Some people think they are treated differently and assume it’s because they are this or that. A lot of times it’s because they are just assholes not because of their skin color.

Why would I read your marxist propaganda? No thanks I’ll check with Pravda or Global News if I want the communist opinion of America. Equal under the law is the law of the land. I could post just as many opposition articles from sources you would deride, so what’s the point. If you believe you are being discriminated against, you will find it. Anyone of any race can do it. The left teaches you you are a victim. Therefore you are.
0 ups, 3y
your refusal to acknowledge the truth of the situation does not mean that it's not happening.

But go ahead, see if you can find a study by science that shows people of color are not discriminated against in the workplace. I'd like to see if there was one.

Yeah? Got some evidence to support your claim?

'Cause I do.

https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2018/01/09/blacks-in-stem-jobs-are-especially-concerned-about-diversity-and-discrimination-in-the-workplace/

Scroll down to the section that begins with: One-in-five STEM workers who say their race has hampered their success point to treatment from coworkers as the reason

Lemme know when you're done reading that, because there's more.

I love how you think 2 wrongs make a right. You want to be 'anti racist', I'll remind you that that includes EVERYONE, hypocrite.

Don't judge people based on things they have no control over. Or don't you support Dr King???

I'll remind you I have never excluded myself from being racist. I know that I was raised in a system built by racists and have internalized many racists attitudes and behaviors. It takes a lot of self-awareness and questioning to be able to find them.

I know that I was raised to be low-key racist and work to not be one.

God, I feel sad for you, to victimize yourself so. I always just tried to treat others as I'd like to be treated. I was never in power where I could 'oppress' others, on a large scale. But at least I never carried the white man's burden. I never looked at injustices I had no part in and felt I had guilt. Sure, you can see history and be aware but hell. No black guy sees some white mugged by another black guy and feels personally responsible.

I feel bad for you. I genuinely do. You are so clearly certain of your superiority and righteousness that you aren't willing to critically examine yourself and the world you're in.

Okay. Because I don't grovel to minorities and just realize the truth of history, it means I'm ebil and rayyyyyyyyyccccccccciiiiiiiiiissssssssss. Flagellate yourself, virtue signaller.

It's interesting that you equate being a decent person with groveling. No wonder you're deep in Cult 45. Also, you don't know history. You have shown yourself to be willfully and deliberately uninformed about history.

Oh, so not grovelling to minorities is racist. Thanks for revealing your end goal. I'll be off bowing and scraping now, masah.

I also don’t go to the police station and confess to murders I didn’t commit

And you divert from an obviously racist policy to yourself. Sure, virtue signal about how you rose above your racist upbringing yet ignore my point completely.

Better idea; treat everyone you see here and now with the dignity and respect everyone deserves, and in the future try not to be an a**hole or ignorant of the history of this country.

It's a common rule in rhetoric that the past tense is the worst in which to operate because it does nothing but assign blame. The present is for debating morals and ideas, but it also fails to accomplish much because you can't make changes to the present. The future tense is the most important, as Aristotle noted, because unlike the other two you can change the future. So too with life; instead of living out this CRT fantasy and living in the past, we should instead be mindful of the past and ensure our policy in the future treats everyone equally.
