"We also perform the kind of acts in these parades in front of children that would get anyone else arrested."

Imagine it was straight people, doing heterosexual acts to celebrate their heterosexuality.

For some reason, it’s only bigoted when the majority celebrates themselves.

Because its unnecessary. You havent been oppressed your normal, your ok,but we fought to get here and your trying to take that away and make it about you I just don't understand why you would think that.

Did you just say heterosexual people are "normal"???
I admire your honesty.

I know lesbians who are happy, productive, and successful. They spend zero time thinking about how oppressed they are.

your not them so you couldn't say that for sure they could have severe depression and be very good at hiding it generally people don't want them to know about their problems. Also if you are right that's only a few people that you know.

“You’re not them so you couldn’t say that for sure…” exactly. This is what I’ve been trying to communicate. What about what you said about me? You assume other people are “normal” and “okay” but you’re not them. You don’t know. That’s all.

your saying lesbians are straight up having sex in the streets. If that were legal im sure some straight people would do the same.

Gay man are.
If a straight couple did that, yes, they'd be arrested. When a homosexual couple does it, it's homophobic to object. Two sets of rules.

No one of any sexuality is having sex in the street.Give me one example when that has ever happened.

Multinational corporations virtue signal flying rainbow flags for lgbt people in the west but not in China and the Middle East where lgbt don't have rights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HCnZULgxb8

I do know the pride march was originally a human rights march that started in America back when lgbt people didn't have rights so I do know the history but these days it is nothing more than a big corporate-backed street party going on about rights that lgbt people already have in the west while not bringing much attention to how lgbt people are brutally persecuted and oppressed in the Middle East. You can't say you are "oppressed" when you live in a country that protects your rights and even shuts down anyone with a different opinion than you. Having someone make fun of you whining about your first world problems and your first victim playing isn't "oppression" listen to what a whiner you are being. Really? "oppressed" because a person on the internet disagreed with your opinion, you are so unaware of how insufferable you are. If anything you claim of "victimhood" in a first world country is an insult lgbt people who are actually are victimized in the Middle East, it seems you care about your own western first world privilege rather than those who actually are oppressed and need our help. I would never make fun of an lgbt person who is fleeing persecution from a third world country but I won't stop making fun of a person who acts like a spoiled child in a first world country where they do have rights and only cares about their own western privilege rather those who actually are oppressed.

ok well you not as clueless as I thought.Your meme didn't portray the whole message well.I definitely agree that people need to look at the problems lgbt people in other countries face. It's a big issue that should be addressed, however that's not to say it isn't also an issue here, even if it's not as big a problem.I dont think were whiny for saying oppressed hate crimes still happen here.i've been called wrong people have laughed at me.Not to say that's close to anything other people have experienced, but I'm young and it was sorta really bad for me so I mentioned it.About other people they've been kicked out, shunned, beaten, bullied.stuff like this meme is just annoying and to be honest rude.Again I would like to agree with you about the people in other countries, but please consider what I've said, also I would like to say thank you for trying to have an actual debate and not just senseless yelling from both sides i'm not good at writing, but hopefully this was a good argument.

It is true that anti-lgbt discrimination does sometimes happen here but we have laws that protect lgbt rights and such discrimination does get condemned by our society. I am also saying we should reach out to people in third world countries who don't have the same privileges as us. Also I do feel sorry for lgbt people who do get mistreated by others, including in first world countries. My mom knew a man who was abused by his parents as a kid all because he was gay and his parents were very strict Catholics who didn't take kindly to lgbt people, he became an atheist due his mistreatment from his Catholic parents, I imagine that homophobic mistreatment was no doubt traumatic for him. My mom was great friends with this man and loved him like a brother but even though my mom was good friends with him, he was sometimes toxic to her all because she is a Christian even though she wasn't a homophobic bigot like his parents and never said a wrong thing towards him for being gay. I understand that some lgbt do face discrimination but being toxic towards others for whatever petty reason doesn't make anything right.

Thank you for being reasonable.I agree with what you've said.no one should be toxic from either side especially not if you don't know what certain people have been through.Im sorry for calling you uneducated, and even if I still don't like your meme i'm glad we can both be reasonable people, and I hope you have a good day.

Everyone in this world has trouble self-defining and getting respect. It’s not special to gays, blacks, women or anyone else. Remember that.

Yes everyone has troubles like that in life, but it's certainly harder to get respect from someone that hates you for something you cant control and have had to deal with you whole life.
