You failed to make that point in your meme and you're failing to make it now; It isn't the case that "somebody gets offended by pretty much anything".
Your inability to see a connection between something and race, gender etc when others do see it is not evidence that it does not exist, rather it is evidence of your lack of experience and unwillingness to hear the experiences of others.
I get it, it takes a lot of emotional security and maturity to hear about the suffering of a group at the hands of one you belong to without reacting defensively.
The instinct is to silence them, to deny their claims, even to try to reverse them.

Are your feelings about accusations directed at a group you're in more important than the feelings of individuals who've literally been attacked and want to be heard so as to affect change, preventing it happening again?
