The “pluribus” referred to many states. The states were primarily populated by Englishmen who were Christians.

Your lie fails. Buzz off.

This is completely true. "To our posterity", in the Declaration, what else could that possibly mean , but mostly the English? Like I said in my comment down below; I don't mind a multicultural society, but with the Left and politicians using it for race baiting, it could become a problem in our future. But to lie about what about what "posterity" meant or "ex pluribus"; makes me laugh.

Well, here comes my buzz. Having read a bit of history I know that from the late 1600's when the Dutch controlled it, the Colony of New York included Dutch people (as well as the Belgian Flemings and Walloons, French Huguenots, Scandinavians, and Germans. The Quakers in Pennsylvania attracted people persecuted for their religious beliefs from all over Europe. The Puritans in Rhode Island granted religious freedom to all, including Jewish people, escaping pogroms in Russia. Many of my ancestors, the Scots, came here as slaves (indentured servants) after being kicked off their ancestral lands by the British (the Clearances in history books tell their story). They were hardly "Englishmen." The colony of Georgia was founded in part to put distance between the founders and the Spanish in Florida. There were some free Africans and hundreds of thousands of slaves in many colonies. But they did not count, at the time in Colonial America

Your ignorance about our history does not make my meme a lie.

Tell me, if the U.S. was conceived as a multi-ethnic country, why does our Declaration of Independence refer to "our Brittish brethren"? That sounds to me like they conceive of themselves as a part of the English people.

Traditionally the idea was to create a melting pot effect of those diverse cultures and traditions as they gradually blended together over time, but today's 'divide and conquer' leftists want to outright destroy all remaining aspects of European culture inside the United States while giving the go ahead to all other cultures while calling it DIVERSITY. People . . . have . . . noticed.

There was no "melting pot," idea promulgated by the Federal Government in 1782. In fact the term comes for a 19th Century English play about Russian Jewish immigrants. The ease of immigration was created by indifference rather than design. Anti-immigrant sentiment against "White," migrants (No Irish Need Apply) was as widespread as racism is today. There is a vanity of the immediate that makes us nostalgic for a past that never existed. You have been misled and allowed yourself to be because the disinformation comports with your biases.

Rather than commit to a treatise -- like you just did -- I skipped over all that by saying that it was the original idea; its 19th century origin being irrelevant. The Great Melting Pot ideal WAS the ideal from that time forward. Now YOU . . . know. No charge for the history lesson.

Yes, a play which was a Jewish-supremacist fantasy.

I am so sorry that you are not proud of your heritage and secure enough to let others be proud of theirs.

Being proud of your heritage has nothing to do with what sevenheart said.

Larry, Larry, Larry. You try so hard, but your Democrat Party that you support so loyally has divided America into every conceivable hyphenated division possible. They pit every race against whites, they divide us by preferred methods of orgasm, they divide us with SCIENCE- Biology or preferred pronoun, which SCIENCE do you support? They divide us into nice little compliant citizens and Domestic Terrorists, all in less than 100 days- Go Joe!!! You would be far more accurate to say "Out of Many, ENEMIES!!!" But then accuracy is not a requirement for Democrats.

You are disgustingly dishonest. If I say I'm proud of my white heritage, scum like you denounce me as a "racist" (whatever that means).

Sure. Minus some Muslims we all seem to get along.

I find it absolutely hilarious that your meme has fewer upvotes than some of the comments.

What's more amazing is that you're pushing the diversity/bigotry trope when the objection to foreigners crossing the border has little to do with where they're from and everything to do with the legality of their method of arrival.

If you invite someone through the front door (legal immigration), they are a guest - if they break in through the window, they're a criminal. It's a simple concept, yet somehow it remains out of your reach.

The immigration laws in this country, starting with the Naturalization Act of 1790, where meant to keep America a white country, a country of "free white persons of good character". And as the Declaration of Independence stated, to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" (only in a post rational Leftist America would anyone doubt what "posterity" means). All immigration laws up until the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, were designed to keep America a majority white nation. True multiculturalism in America started only after 1965; because before that, even though there was always differences of religions and such, they were for the most part, Christian differences (and only ethnic hatreds between Europeans), and not an entirely different culture (say Islam) coming from a different part of the world. People either lie about this fact, and act like America was always supposed to be a "melting pot", or simply say this from ignorance; but it's simply not true, unless you want to call the mixing of different European stocks a real mixing pot. I personally love different cultures and peoples, and don't necessarily have a problem with multiculturalism. However, with the Left and politicians constantly race baiting all the time, I'm starting to wonder if this whole thing will not work out well in the end. Leave it to politicians to f*ck it up.
