99% may seem high, but in reality it's 98%, and that may seem high as well, but hear me out here: if 500,000 people get it, then that means that 5,000 people die, which is more than 9/11. Does it seem harmless now? And that's just half the current death rate which is 2%, or 10,000 people dying in that same estimate. That's if it spreads less than the flu, which it doesn't, it spreads more. 1% is 2X the death rate of the flu. 2% is 4X the death rate. The more people vaccinate, the sooner we can get back to normal, and the sooner the economy can get back in shape.
