I didn't know that Trump and Obama had bombed Yemen! I knew the US were supplying weapons and the UK were supplying planes and flight-training, but genuinely didn't know they were dropping bombs too!

pretty f**ked up when you see the people in Yemen!

Fact: Every Confederate Leader in the Civil War was a Southern Democrat. So all the statues the progressives are trying to tear down are of Democrats. The progressives of today are trying to whitewash the Democrat’s history claiming the mantle of Lincoln as their own and further claiming Republicans of today are the racists of yesterday. Many teachers in public schools are literally teaching that Lincoln would be a Democrat today.

You want to know why that sounds like something a Democrat would say? Here's why :
Lincoln did make those remarks on 18 September 1858. They came at the beginning of his opening speech at the fourth of seven famous debates with Stephen Douglas, during Lincoln’s unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. Senate in Illinois. Lincoln HAD BEEN UNDER ATTACK BY Democrats who accused him of supporting racial equality, and his comments were a defense against those allegations in order to gain favor in the coming election. At the time, that was the "norm".

You want to know why that sounds like something Lincoln, a Republican said?
Here's why : Because he did.

As you can see from the quotes,
the norm of
Lincoln, a Republican and President
differs from
the norm of
Lee, a Democrat and later a Confederate General.

"You contradicted yourself."

No, I did not.
Fun to see you copping my lines. Running out of retorts that merely support what I've said much?

Fact: Southern Democrats led the charge to secede from the Union and formed the Confederate States of America.

Fact: Southern Democrats ruled the South up until Bill Clinton was reelected in 1996. Both Bill Clinton and Al Gore were Southern Democrats and ran as Dixie Democrats in what they called “Their Southern Strategy” against the Northerner Moderate Republican George H. Bush.

The sdhort lived Dixie Democrats, or Dixiecrats, splintered off the Democrats in response to Truman's introducing a civil rights platform in the 1948 DNC Convention.

The Southern Strategy was Nixon's plan in 1972 to make the party appeal to - wait for it - southern white racists.

Yes, you catch on quick, don't you?
Nixon's plan was to entice them to switch to the Republican Party, which, as you know, they did.
This began on 1948 because of Truman, got a BIG boost in 1964 & 65 because of LBJ, then we have Nixon as mentioned, and the switching over really solidified during Reagan.

There was no party switch. That's a myth to make Democrats feel better about themselves and try to make Republicans look bad. The only switch was after conservative Democrats founded the Klan and then gradually switched to liberal. The people didn't switch parties.

You're contradicting yourself yet again.

Consistency makes revisionist propaganda somewhat more palpable on the eyes. Somewhat.

So we can see why these modern-day book burners on the left are so desperate to tear Statues of Democrats, I mean Confederates, across the country in an effort to rewrite the hate and racist history of the Democratic Party over the last 240 years.

Read the caption.
As a member of the Democrat Party, he did what does it exactly say?

Perhaps a screenshot with the definition of "before" might be helpful at this juncture?

Again, now pay attention: The Confederate's president was NOT a Democrat.
In fact, Davis is THE reason why there were NO Democrats in the Confederacy. Not. a. single. one.

Hope this helps!

Here's some more information for you

During the 1860s, Republicans, who dominated northern states, orchestrated an ambitious expansion of federal power, helping to fund the transcontinental railroad, the state university system and the settlement of the West by homesteaders, and instating a national currency and protective tariff. Democrats, who dominated the South, opposed those measures.

After the Civil War, Republicans passed laws that granted protections for Black Americans and advanced social justice. And again, Democrats largely opposed these apparent expansions of federal power.

Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt won reelection that year on the strength of the New Deal, a set of Depression-remedying reforms including regulation of financial institutions, the founding of welfare and pension programs, infrastructure development and more. Roosevelt won in a landslide against Republican Alf Landon, who opposed these exercises of federal power.

So, sometime between the 1860s and 1936, the (Democratic) party of small government became the party of big government, and the (Republican) party of big government became rhetorically committed to curbing federal power.

tl;dr
When copypasting, quotation marks and citation of the source would be in order, btw.

The Democrat Party was Jefferson's counter to the Federalists, favoring States' Rights over the big goverment Federalists. The Democrats weren't pro-slavery, per se, but rather saw it as something to be decided at the individual state level.

However, we can see what few references to facts that you do actually post back what I say. You should try reading them.
