Yesterday I did it. I dropped the cash on a pistol that I’ve wanted for a very long time. It’s a Colt Defender 1911 in .45acp and it cost me right around $1100, but it was worth it. I did the paperwork and gave the guy my LTC and walked out with my new gun. I did a very stringent background check to get my LTC and now I don’t have to do another one.

That’s actually the exact one that I have, blued but my grips are red. Might have to fix that. But it carries well and feels good hidden on my body. Runs like a racehorse. I never could justify the cost of a Colt but I guess since I’ve gotten a little older and looking at retirement in a few years I figured what the hell.

Forget mailing ballots: How about printing them yourself at home? That would be the proper analogy here in the era of 3D printing. No voter registration, no voter ID, no citizenship check, nothing.
