All the officers involved will be ultimately charged with some culpability, but remember this all began with Floyd, a known criminal, not a saint as the Prosecutor painted him, high on fentanyl, trying to commit another crime by passing counterfeit money. The police were just trying to the job you people hired them to do.

No one was "killed on sight". The interaction between the officers and Floyd started way before Chauvin showed up on the scene. They tried to take him, he acted out and didn't want to stay put in the back of the patrol car. The crowd that formed didn't help things either...the reason why Chauvin was seen looking outward instead of looking down at Floyd was because of the crowd that formed and was watching them to make sure they didn't get out of hand.

Look, it was all so preventable from both sides of the equation.

Did you actually see the video? The crowd WOULD have helped things IF the police had heeded them at all. Notable among the crowd were:

1. From the beginning, a mixed-martial artist continually reminded them that they had Floyd in a dangerous position and Floyd was no longer posing a threat.
2. A firefighter/EMT arrived a few minutes later and demanded the officers take and report to her Floyd’s pulse. She even offered to help administer CPR. She too was ignored.

You can tell 100% that Officer Thao at the very least heard what they were saying. Yeah, the crowd got heated because a man was dying in front of their eyes and they were being totally ignored. Wouldn’t you?

But the idea the crowd was any kind of physical threat to the officers is laughable. They stood on the sidewalk, stepped back when instructed and nobody initiated any sort of physical combat.

Yet,officer TAM stood there and did nothing.
