The problem is that George Floyd had OD's and was having a heart attack before the officer's knee was on his neck. Chauvin may have ended Floyd's life but only by a few minutes. Even if the cops hadn't shown up, that was going to be Floyd's last day on earth. He basically had killed himself.

But before you get all high minded and condescending on the right (oops too late), you must understand that the entire nation saw what happened and was appalled by it. This was never a right vs left position. The right was just as repulsed as the left.
