They should also have a de-escalation script that ALL follow nationwide. Basically state I am filming this for yours and my protection. I would like to safely take care of this situation with your cooperation. Well you didn't answer the question, but your comment is held up by a pretty big "if". I don't know how many WOULD have died. Like I've said though, a real insurrection would've been a bunch of people with firearms that knew what they were doing. Not a ragtag group of extremists being given tours.

The problem is more complicated that just more training or respect.
- Police handle traffic laws, if you see one while driving you feel tense and wonder if you are going to fast or are going to get a ticket. This makes it so when you see a police officer you have a negative reaction, instead of a positive one. There should be a separate department for handling traffic laws.
- When one police officer does something bad, all of them are blamed. Most police officers are there to protect the people, there are however a few bad apples. When one police officer does something wrong people attack all police officers, then they go on the defensive and are forced into defending someone who did something wrong. Singular people need to be attacked for handling a situation in the wrong way, and it needs to be easier to get people off the police force.

Not everyone has the right mindset to be a police officer, this doesn’t exactly mean they are bad people. People can react badly to stress and do things they would never do, the police force needs people who can preform well under stress.

I agree that all police should wear body cams, and the de-escalation script is a good idea as well.

Reasonable thought so I give up vote for the Camera and de-escalation script. I was actually given a similar script to use when I do my work. Think course verbal Ju Jit Su or something like that. But in my case if not work I am to just walk away. Not life Threatening. Think would actually work if all followed a similar de-escalation script and videoed it. Then if some one goes off and resist that should be a felony nation wide with minimum of year in jail! Problem solved!

I am a leftist, my political values are aligned with democrats and liberals. I don’t insult others when having a political debate, some people do. I won’t debate with those who do. I will say this. I have been a republican for a while, and I had my reasons for supporting Trump, even though I didn’t like everything about him. But I liked him for the very reason the media despised him. The fact that the media just made anyone who supported one thing he did out to be not objective and idiotic is just purely fallacious. If we were all taught logic from birth, we would not fall for such nonsense.

What is the difference between leftism and communism? I don’t believe leftists are exactly “puppets” (though I do believe Biden is a puppet for other reasons), but I do think that Marxists did come in and infiltrate what they believed, and that they are not fed much of reality right now. For example, so many leftists I’ve argued with act like all Republicans are anti-LGBTQ+, or anti-women, or racist, which is far from the truth. I personally am not pro-LGBTQ+ for religious reasons, but i am 100% for all races to be equal and think women should be treated with utmost respect.

I don’t really insult people because I think people are not informed about everything, and I don’t see why that means they’re stupid or any bad thing. Only people I will insult without hesitation are people that I suspect are deliberately misleading others and know exactly what they are doing. That doesn’t happen often.

A combination of both. Cops do need more training but so does respect for police authority need to be pounded into skulls of thick headed children by their parents. No he didn’t. He ran first. Then turned toward a cop with a gun without being asked. The cop did not say “Turn around.” He said stop and show me your hands. Adam Toledo did not comply.

Adam toledo did exactly that, showed his hands, and then the cop shot him.

He put his hands up while simultaneously turning towards the officer, which is what the assessed risk was. That's why I pointed out the cop did not tell him to turn around. He should not have done that, because an officer on alert because of the gun they knew he had will interpret that facing motion as a threat. Remember cops get shot, too. I am not placing blame on Adams shoulders, just deflecting a little from the cop's, because this was an accident. That's why the cop was a blubbering mess after it happened.

He resisted and had a gun. the action took 1 second. If my life is in danger I am taking the shot. Fortunate for me I am not a cop. Fortunate for a friend of mine he took a shot when his life was in danger. He was judged by 12 not guilty, not carried by 6! I testified for him on a prior incident.
