I've no problem with Twitter censoring me, it's a private platform after all, but the way it's spilled over into the real world is disturbing.
Nah, our restaurants were closed unless they had a drive through, and I know for a fact most of the owners here weren't the folks making that decision. It felt like overreach to me. There are generally religious/medical exemptions to the vaccine thing for school, but those are for public schools anyways. So long as private schools are allowed to operate without needless government interference then I'm not going to go crusading against the public system.
I'll get any vaccine necessary for survival (I.E I get the tetanus shot because it's common sense to not want to die because you stepped on a staple, lol), but I'm in pretty dang good shape and in my twenties. COVID most likely won't kill me, so I'll take my chances with this one.
As detailed below, it's just a card stating that you got the vaccine. I've no problem with a private company requiring that you display one to patronize them, since it's their business. I just don't want a national mandate to do so because it feels no different than if I was forced to carry a card identifying myself as a Roman Catholic, or that I had gotten the HPV shot, etc. It's just personal information.
Ah well. C'est la vie.
