From their perspective - and a helluva lot of others - the Dixie Chicks seemed pretty darn patriotic, unless sending our soldiers to kill and die in some innocent country so your VP can profit $3.5 billion off of it is a more of big ol' Glory glory to whatever warped yoyos out there in lapdog land,,,

It takes guts, oh and patriotism, to stand up and say something, even if that hurts the feelz of the bloodthirsty armchair warriors cheering over a bowl of Fruity Pebbles soaked in beer.

They changed jobs from entertainer to political pundit. Their problem.

And no, what they did was make a comment while stil keeping their jobs, the 'sacred' Second Amendment having one that proceeds it and that a Revolution was fought for being a thing n all.

If you have a probem with that, that's actually a good thing, and their point was a useful one.

People pay for entertainment/sports to get away from the real world & stressful stuff. Entertainers, even when opinionated, knew that in the old days. Now they think bring a spoiled millionaire entitles them to a bully pulpit, and they are political Wizzards. But I’m not interested - really - for any political endoctrination in my entertainment, even from conservatives. Now to these chickens’ (they are too old to be chicks) credit, they did this poli-crap while in London, thinking no one in the USA would know. But, it’s a small world. Entertainers are not well grounded in reality and that’s why they are so good at their jobs. But it makes them really bad at assessing middle class lives and political ramifications. They leap snd then have their employees look for thee we m & fix the mistakes. We commoners do not have that luxury.
