Your comment displays your utter ignorance, as usual Octavia. Well, let's be fair here, that's just my opinion. I assume you're referring to behavioral changes to help mitigate the spread of the virus, right? Such as wearing a mask, social distancing, washing hands, and not touching our face (especially the eyes and nose.)

Those modified behaviors certainly would have helped, had we all got on board in the beginning. But they certainly couldn't have stopped the spread of the virus overall, as those in the media who criticize Trump for not wearing a mask would have us believe. And, doing so wouldn't have changed the reaction from the 'chicken littles' in this country who wanted to shut down *everything*, regardless.

And, just in case you were attempting to make a point about Trump, keep in mind that he was taking advice from the guy in the attached photo. AND even though he was, and keep in mind that according to Fauci, Trump took every single piece of advice given, Trump still shut down travel from Wuhan, China a few days *after* Fauci made the statement he made in the attached image.

And that doesn't even take into account things like Nancy Pelosi going to Chinatown in February during the Lunar New year in 2020 and telling people to come on out and have a good time, and Bill DeBlasio in New York city in March 2020, telling people to come out and live their lives.

Sorry Octavia, but I feel I have to mention those things to pre-emptively stop you from making statements that are factually wrong about Trump, as you are wont to do.

Oh you want statements about Trump? I'm here to help.
:)

Fauci in January, Pelosi in February, and Deblasio in March do not negate Trump comparing it to the flu clear into October..at a point in time when it had killed 3x as many people as even the peak flu season going back decades.... or talking about maybe "herd mentality" (herd immunity) in September (Fauci had a few thoughts on THAT one)..... or I recently heard trump secretly took the vaccine in January... And I mean that seems to me would've been a perfect time to be a leader. Show America the vaccines are legit. 1/3 of repubs don't plan to take it and those are his own f*cking voters!.. but no... Wouldn't expect any less of him.

Also as far as "trump shutting down travel from china".... Sounds cool but hadn't the 3 major airline companies had already done that..? Delta, United, and American airlines be like .. " ummm.. ok Mr President... Literally consider it done.."
:P

Quite honestly yolo, I want nothing from you. And it's not because you blindly attack Trump. I'm just burnt out on the 'everything-is-Trump's-fault' approach taken by people like you, Psaki, Pelosi, and in particular Biden. Why? Because when you can't say anything good about your guy, all you have left is to attack the previous guy. It means your guy is doing nothing. Nothing good, at least.

So you can trot out whatever examples from the Trump-hating media that you want, and it just doesn't matter. This is the same media that went on a rampage against hydroxychloroquine, for no reason other than Trump said we should look into it. It is a drug with a decades long track record of proven success, but we can't have anything to do with it if Trump even hints that he's in favor of looking into it, right?

So, as always, I'll dumb it down for you guys. Your media lied to you for four plus years about Trump. They have zero objectivity when it comes to him, and you bought into it 100%. Congrats for putting your brain in a jar and trusting the media to tell you what you should think.

Now, as to your point about Trump's leadership. I agree that it would have been better had he taken a different approach in how he talked to the American people about it. Why? Because most people are so stupid and insecure that they need a leader to hold their hand and tell them what to do. That's the liberal view of leadership in a nutshell. Personally, I prefer being treated as an adult.

I'm sorry but if you think I'm blindly attacking trump based on media lies you should probably address whatever specific lies you think I'm parroting instead of citing other examples I didn't mention.

If wanting a president to have good leadership skills is now considered liberal, I'm ok with that.

The pandemic was exactly what I was worried about happening when trump got elected in 2016. I'm sure you either don't believe me or don't want to hear more ranting about him though so I won't get into that.. unless you want me to. Idk.. up to you.

Fauci admitted to "exaggerating" about the severity of the virus so people would "take it seriously" (his words, not mine), so shut up and get your head out your ass.

Octavia's head is firmly up the poop chute... no doubt about that.

And what you said about Fauci is correct. But, he has also flip flopped so many times that he should have zero credibility imo. See my reply to Octavia for a good example of Fauci's position early on, which of course flipped later. And Trump was taking advice from this guy!
