Liberals be like "Well I'll pay more if it means..."

Bullshit. At some point the convenience of not cooking your own dinner is not going to be worth the expense. We call all cook hamburgers with lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, thousand island, on a sesame seed bun. And it will taste better than mac donald's. And at the point where that is true for most people, the job will not exist at all (earning $8 an hour is better than earning $0 an hour because your job no longer exists)

There are two types of jobs. The ones that we (the consumer) pay for because we can't do it (skilled work). Then there are jobs that we can do, but we don't want to do them ourselves, but eventually will do if it gets too expensive. Most of the restaurant industry exists because we are too lazy to cook. (Small exceptions for genuine gourmet restaurants, which are expensive special occasion fare anyhow.)

I would add that while Democrats like to dangle nonsense notions of $15/hour in front of brainwashed products of a liberal education, they know that if such a measure passed it would a) result in millions becoming unemployed, and therefore more dependent on Big Government than ever before, and b) the price of EVERYTHING would go up, more than wiping out the wage increase.

And this to say nothing of the greater amount of taxes they would likely be paying.

The minimum wage, in reality, is ZERO. Ironically, when business and the market are allowed to operate unimpeded by our liberal benefactors, it works just fine. I know of NO business in Central Ohio that is paying anything less than $11/hour. If they are, they are short on staff.
