John Donne, the Poet Priest said, “No man is an Island, entire of it self; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main.” I am not an oilman. I am a former teacher, a high school band director who went to the dark side and played music my whole life. Since this lockdown, I have had so few gigs. All the money that others got for PPP loans and small business, I got nothing. I had only a couple of gigs last year and none this year. I am not complaining but the men on the pipeline had families... I see their plight.. What cleaner way to transport oil than through a pipe? Those guys are hurting. The gas stations where they bought their fuel & snacks are hurting and many businesses all along the way. Do politicians care? They all have guaranteed salaries, the best insurance there is (no Obummercare for them) and lifelong pensions. Their secretaries and administrators are all part of the Washington DC swamp. They opened the border and 100s of 1000s are coming here. Today 108 that were tested had the Chinese Virus. They are all looking for shelter, food, healthcare, jobs... and where does that leave you... or your new friend, Vince Vance, lifelong entertainer, bandleader and composer. I love all people... well, not the ones in MS-13 and other gangs who want to kill innocent Americans to prove they're tough. We need to think about the people here first, before we let in more. I'm no fuddy duddy. I am a serious artist, a father, a patriot who believes in God and our US Constitution.
