Wow, someone drank the kool-aid.
May 21, 1919, an Illinois Republican James Mann reintroduced the 19th Amendment, paving the way for women to gain the right to vote. The amendment passed the House of Representatives; over 200 Republicans voted in favor of the 19th Amendment, while only 102 Democrats voted alongside them. In the Senate, the amendment passed 56 to 25 - 36 Republicans voted for the amendment along with only 20 Democrats.
That's a decisive win for Republicans and Conservatism.
Congress passed the Fifteenth Amendment in 1870, giving African Americans the right to vote. The final vote in the Senate was 39 to 13, with 14 not voting. The Senate passed the amendment, with 39 Republicans voting "Yea" and eight Democrats and five Republicans voting "Nay"
Another example of Republicans leading the way.
