He's a Texas leader. A lot of people claim Cruz is smart. If he's so smart, why wasn't he shouting a warning to Senator Cornyn, Governor Abbott and other Texas leaders? Do you understand "Silence is Consent"? Senator Cornyn stayed in Texas to help Texans. Cruz ran off to Mexico.

As a senator, he has no authority to do a whole heck of a lot about the situation. What part of that don’t you understand? Do you need an explanation?
