What's funny is that we can now product coal and oil in laboratories in just a few months time, and they are working on making it economical enough to compete with drilling and mining.

Yet wind and solar can’t compete with drilling and mining.

The thing that you types get confused with is the difference between taxpayers SUPPORTING a technology that is not economically viable on its own through subsidies and mandates or people SUPPORTING the idea of renewable energy as a CHOICE and backing it with personal investment and hard work in order to make it feasible in an open marketplace.

That's the whole point of my original meme, conservatives don't take legitimate choices off the table just to make themselves feel good.

I know what Octavia was referring to and I stand by what I said. I don't think that there's any conservatives that don't support the IDEA that renewable shouldn't be considered along with traditional forms of energy.

Because they are underpowered to power the country
