The Trump cult continues. He's considered the presumptive GOP frontrunner in 2024 should he choose to run again; he continues to throw his weight around punishing his enemies and rewarding allies; his second impeachment trial is next week; the conclusion of his disaster-filled 4 years as president was less than 3 weeks ago.

If you want to get him out of American politics for good, be my guest. I and most liberals will be happy to talk about anything else.

But it's up to Republicans to decide the future of their party, and by extension, the future of political possibilities for America.

But the GOP has showed little to no willingness to clean house and ease Trump's way out of the Party a la Nixon. Until they do, we shall decline Republicans' invitation to memory-hole the last 4 years.

There is no Trump cult. We support him for president because our views align, we don't hold him up to be some kind of messiah or prophet or some religious figure.

If he runs in 2024, I will vote for him simply because he's head and shoulders above every other choice.

The media lied about him 24/7. I did my own research and found quite a bit that was falsified on the news. You should do the same.

Its one thing to disagree with his policies. Its an entirely different thing to lie about him. For instance if you believe the border should be open, that's fine, but don't go and call Trump racist because he wants oversight on who comes in and who goes out.

Several times over the past year where Trump supporters (some masked, most not) risked life and limb (and those of their families) in the middle of a pandemic to participate in the cult worship —

Not even counting Jan. 6 of this year at which point all sane people knew or should have known he lost the election.

There’s a Trump cult, no question. QAnon is an explicit Trump cult. Beyond that, he inspires levels of fandom not generally seen and certainly not seen of Biden. That’s the butt of one of Righties’ favorite jokes, in fact. A Biden rally that could fill up a small SUV — etc.

We saw the power and danger of this cult on Jan. 6 especially. With his Twitter feed and constant attacks on the media — even allied media like Fox News —Trump held himself out to be the sole source of truth.

He would have a permanent team of secret service that we pay for with our tax dollars and they have to pay for their lodging at his resorts when he goes there.
