While her approach and tone are not exactly elegant, what she's saying at its core is that Harris was not selected because of her abilities. She was selected for being a woman, and being of African and West Asian descent. We all watched her fail to even make it to the Iowa caucuses. She was a spectacular failure as a presidential candidate. Anyone with any sense (a group from which you are now excluded, KF... just my opinion) would have to admit she was not chosen for her abilities. Well, maybe one ability, which is sucking up votes from idealists.
Living in Taxifornia's bay area, I've watched her for years. She is about the most perfect example of a political opportunist as I've ever seen. No core values whatsoever. Her only values are what will get her ahead; what will get her votes and power. The only pro-Harris thing I can say is that it sure seems to have worked. And believe me, that's not actually a compliment.
As I said in another post for your meme KF, whatever happened to the grand belief in judging people based on their character and their abilities, as opposed to their gender or the color of their skin?
Sure, there's the pendulum argument, but is that really what we want to use to select the person who is one incredibly frail heartbeat away from the presidency?
Choosing Harris was no better than the sexist / racist, who would choose a white man over a more qualified woman or person color, or both. Neither approach is morally defensible. And sure as hell, neither approach works for finding the best person for the job.
