Facts do not get in the way of LIBTARD thinking. They function on a primal level if it feels good to me! Not Facts! Feelings! The Libtard Creed!

Democrats have always been the party of slavery. They just changed their tactics of hating blacks. Now they use them for votes by keeping them poor and segregated from everyone else.

Fortunately blacks are starting to break the Democrat chains and getting off of their plantation. They realized that after all of the promises that Dems have been telling them for decades nothing has ever come from it other than going from the strongest families units in America to a people raised without a father in the home. That is what the Dems have done to the blacks.

And still Dems portray the gangsta as keeping it real. What is "real" is living without fear of being shot. Dems have stolen all hope for blacks to ever think that they can get ahead. Dems want them poor and on welfare so they can harvest votes from them. NO ONE is trying to keep blacks down. Systemic racism is only in the Democrat Party.

White people don't sit around obsessing over the color of people's skin. They have their own lives to worry about. It takes a Dem to make everything about race.

Nice what-if scenario, Bob.

It's a nice what-if scenario because I'm right. Thanks for the compliment!

Kinda like the what-if scenario about how Trump would've won if it wasn't for the pandemic?

And by the way, he wasn’t a Democratic socialist. His affiliation was with those who were against racial segregation. Quit making stuff up to put people on your side.

But if you really want to play these games, I can tell you that he was a Baptist Christian (and that is provable). If he was alive today, you would hate him.

"And by the way, he wasn’t a Democratic socialist. His affiliation was with those who were against racial segregation. Quit making stuff up to put people on your side."

Oh REALLY...

“I imagine you already know that I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic...”

"When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism and militarism are incapable of being conquered.”

“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”

"All over the globe men are revolting against old systems of exploitation and oppression, and out of the wounds of a frail world, new systems of justice and equality are being born. We in the West must support these revolutions.”

“And one day we must ask the question, ‘Why are there forty million poor people in America?’ And when you begin to ask that question, you are raising questions about the economic system, about a broader distribution of wealth. When you ask that question, you begin to question the capitalistic economy. And I’m simply saying that more and more, we’ve got to begin to ask questions about the whole society…”

“Call it democracy, or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all God’s children.

“We must recognize that we can’t solve our problem now until there is a radical redistribution of economic and political power…. This means a revolution of values and other things. We must see now that the evils of racism, economic exploitation, and militarism are all tied together… you can’t really get rid of one without getting rid of the others… the whole structure of American life must be changed. America is a hypocritical nation and [we] must put [our] own house in order.”

“The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and evils of racism.”

“[W]e are saying that something is wrong … with capitalism…. There must be better distribution of wealth and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialism.”

Do you want me to provide you with more evidence or is that enough for you?

“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”

What is THIS quote about? This just proves my point. He called out America’s economy for not working on the problems of racial segregation.

Once again, quit making stuff up to fit your narrative.

MLK jr. was not an idiot. He recognized that simple desegregation and the implementation of anti discrimination laws was not the silver bullet to solve 350 years of oppression. And his quotes demonstrate that. You can either engage with them, like a rational person, or you can go prance around in Camelot and pretend that he would be a Republican in 2021.

Of course he wasn’t an idiot. And no, his quotes demonstrate the opposite. Look at the one I just showed you.

And he also said,
“When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism and militarism are incapable of being conquered.”
These things have been conquered today.

Imagine being this stupid.

Systemic racism still exists.

Income inequality is worse today.

The military industrial complex is worse today.

You're like 0 for 3.

Systematic racism? Where? In the police? The police shoot more unarmed white people than unarmed black people on average. Of course you wouldn’t know that because MSM doesn’t want you to.

Income inequality? What are you talking about? Everyone I have ever worked with has had the same wage as me. No matter their race. Show me a case where a black man was paid less than a white man for the same job.

And no, the military industrial complex is not worse in the slightest. I don’t know what you’re getting on about.

1. The conclusion that there is racial bias in police shootings isn't extremely firm, but I can show you studies showing it exists.

2. Racial wealth gap ring any bells?

2. No, because as far as I’m aware, the only blacks calling it out are already millionaires. Look at the politicians, the sports players, the actors, the influencers, and the business owners.

3. Bigger doesn’t mean worse. In fact it means better. This means that we have done our goal to ensure that racial discrimination doesn’t happen and we can focus elsewhere.

The only reason he was like this was because the capitalism of his time showed no compassion for people of color. It was segregated and did not show any help for individuals according to his quotes. Look how far we’ve come today.

Except that wasn't the case.

Again, it’s all racially based here. If you like to play what-if game so much, imagine how pleased he’d be at the inclusiveness of today’s economic culture.

No it hasn’t. It’s you who has no idea. Try going back to the times of segregation and tell me that blacks were paid more then than they are today. Plus, I said inclusiveness, not wage gap... because it doesn’t exist.

You do realize that guaranteeing that blacks earn equal wages to whites doesn't magically solve the black white wealth gap and intergenerational mobility? You're a moron if you unironically think MLK would be content with the state of black people today. Your responses are getting progressively dumber.
2 ups, 4y
I still didn’t admit that systematic racism exists. I don’t know where you got that. If you actually take the time to read my comments, you might know that I wrote “everything it was supposed to overnight.” The problems are most definitely fixed today.
2 ups, 4y,

No, that’s not what I said or claimed at all. Nice try. I said that he was still a Civil Rights activist even after the act was passed. Why? Because it didn’t fix everything that it was supposed to overnight.
1 up, 4y
Yeah, and he also advocated for socialism even after the Civil rights act was passed.

You think I DON’T realize that? Also, I noticed you left out the “antidiscrimination laws” part. We have implemented those today, and we’re fine.

And yes, I unironically believe that he would be content today. What you think he would support illogical riots about false claims with blacks being treated worse by the police?
1 up, 4y
You do realize most of these quotes were said and written by MLK jr. AFTER the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964....right? He didn't suddenly become a conservative after that happened, you're just PRETENDING that happened because it suits your preconceived notions about him.

And no, he wouldn't support rioting as an effective means to implement social change, but he wasn't an idiot, so he realized that rioting is a result of socio economic conditions that have to be addressed.

You do realize that the Civil Rights Act didn’t magically fix all of the racial problems overnight, correct? You even said this yourself! If it did, he wouldn’t have been murdered. And that was 4 years later.

Just because people are rioting about it doesn’t make it a huge issue that needs to be addressed.
1 up, 4y
Exactly right, meaning that MLK jr, wasn't socialist only because there was legal discrimination during his lifetime, like you erroneously claimed. Thanks for admitting you were wrong!

It is impossible to imagine any black politician continuing to get grace cards from his supporters after the multiple sex scandals, election-related scandals, resignations, ridiculous all-caps tweeting, conspiracy theories, election fraud lies, violent insurrection at the Capitol, etc etc.

Add to that his maleness -- no way a female politician gets away with all those things.

By contrast look at all the racism/sexism Kamala Harris is receiving, and she hasn't even served a day as VP yet.

AGREED! to anyone who disagrees, did you know its possible to be racist towards people who are not black too? did you know you can be sexist towards men? did you know that people are taking advantage of these claims and end up only hurting themselves? if you truly think black people are at a disadvantage (and most of them are) instead of the govenrment giving them money or traumatizing police that are more innocent than you, it would be infinitely more helpful to help them learn to live on their own. help them find a job, dont do it for them. and if you truly think that EVERYONE is equal then why are you still raising people above other people based on their gender and race?
