Oh, there most surely were very similar things that have happened, and recently too, and nearly every one of them involved the so-called 'Left'.... MSNBCNN and the corruptocrats either ignored or 'justified' the events.... Kamala Harris even set up legal funds for the rioters/vandals/looters/arsonists, in addition to instigating not only individual events, but an entire 'movement' of such events -- promising that they will 'keep happening' and 'should'.
