Confederates are not a calibratable part of our history I'm not saying that we should forget them but learn not to do what they did.

It depends on the statute I personally don't care about statue so any statue getting destroyed does not bother me.

Ever heard of total war? General sherman used it against confederates in the civil war. Not only did he destroy bases. He burned down all the f*ckin towns too. He destroyed their culture, buildings, everything. Even railroads. He then killed all of them. So yes, war also is about destroying cultures. Sherman destroyed your “satanic” confederates.

Destroying infrastructure is not destroying culture. The intent was to cripple and shatter their economy.

Reconstruction was more about that, at least the part centered around slavery.

btw, 150 years ago so sesquicentennial ago. Nowadays our military has to gingerly step around anything remotely resembling that type of destruction or impact to the point that victory is impeded. Then they spend decades repairing what was destroyed while bringing the occupied up to par with the rest of the world.
