Most historians agree a man named Jesus did live and was crucified by the Romans/Jews in 33. A.D (or C.E, if you prefer).

When Jesus says turn the other cheek, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t defend yourself. It means you shouldn’t seek revenge

You sound more mature than most, so I assume you have knowledge of the profession to separate church and state in western governments.

I guess I'm curious since you seem to worship Jesus - does worship of a political 'leader' like rumpt mean that you are committing apostasy? Feel free to google that word

It depends on wether you are 'worshipping' him or not. feel free to search that word

I don't need to - what do you call behaviour that ignores all logic and blindly follows commands without question?

No just making commentary of your tactic of implying another is not living up to his Christian faith, when it seems you don't have the same belief structure. My mocking meme, points this out. Hope that helps.

I asked for inspiration, not cringe.

But since you changed the subject...

Here’s another cringeworthy, racially regressive quote from an American hero more generally known for wisdom

yes we know that🙄 would you rather the south won? lol thats funny

No, I don’t wish the South won.

I post the quote for several reasons:

1. To show how deep racism ran in the time of Lincoln, that there’s a dark side of U.S. history that isn’t discussed or discussed well;
2. To show people are capable of change, as he gave this quote at a Lincoln-Douglas debate before becoming President;
3. To make the point nobody’s perfect, we shouldn’t worship any figure in history, and should instead always question authority.

Even so, the North and Abraham Lincoln were clearly on the right side of history.

*another eye roll* I know my history yes systematic racism was there. it is gone now, it is no longer an issue. you are correct, no one is perfect. Anyone with common sense can see that, but thank's for stating the obvious anyway.

the civil war was a tariff war. most of the south was paying 80% of tariffs, because the north had more resources that the south needed than the south had that the north needed. it was a second fight for independence, freeing the slaves were just a by product. but the schools aren't teaching the full truth because they are run by the government and by the liberal side. id the truth were known about that, the much favored black cry would greatly be diminished.

as a side note; one of the results of the civil war for the slaves was that they were now without jobs (yes they'd gotten a salary before), and without homes. talk about unemployment. many of them had developed a fondness for liquor, which can actually have the same effect as it dose for white. but the'd always had a governing hand, and so it made it harder to govern themselves. mental economics 101 if you read Booker T Washingtons "Up From Slavery" or Sarah's Harriet Tubman it talks of many of the problems like that. thats not me being racist. you have to look at it from all sides.
