You must be refering strictly to social media then because i was just talking about the websites you visit without needing an account that still ask for cookies

Some sites have actually got around that. And some other sites have even started using anti-adblocker so you're forced to either turn it off or just click "Continue" on an annoying message.

There has got to be a better way for websites to support themselves.

I absolutely hate that. Like, unless the site will be giving me REAL cookies, I don't care.

And usually if I visit a website that asks me the cookie question, I don't visit it for very long.
