I'm willing to guess you could fill a book with his witticisms that were first captured verbally and only made print years or even decades later. No one could dispute in any case it's exactly his style.

That it is his style is not in dispute. But it was only recently attributed to him by 2007, and no further back. So, my point stands.

The American Indians | I LIVED ON A NATIVE RESERVATION. BEFORE THE WHITES CAME THEIR HISTORY WAS ENTIRELY ORAL. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT NONE OF IT EVER HAPPENED. | image tagged in the american indians | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I understood your point when you made it, and I saw another source placing it further back, even if not by much. I implicitly acknowledged that before.

But the fact something can't be documented doesn't make it untrue.

At least one researcher I read at least fairly admitted traceable linear documentation just doesn't exist for everything.

“But the fact something can't be documented doesn't make it untrue.”

If it can’t be documented then it can scarcely be called a fact.

Show proof that's an actual quote from Twain and not your biased opinion you're using as fact. I'll wait.

You're the troll here, KylieClown.

You showed how pathetic you are by being triggered by a Mark Twain quote.

As usual you show how big a fool you are by refusing to show proof when asked and then think you get to ask a question that has nothing to do with the topic of the Meme.

The OP quote (whether it’s a real one or not) pretty much goes straight to the heart of the problem of social media and the Information Age.

However: I doubt a famous, celebrated, and talented American author would be against the concept of reading and learning in general.

I think if Mark Twain were here today, he’d say we have difficult work to do in separating reality from fiction in a sea of politically-motivated disinformation.

But I doubt he would endorse the content on the front page of ImgFlip politics stream on any given day.

Change my mind

The topic of the discussion is you showing proof your quote was Twain's and not your idiotic opinion masquerading as fact.

Oh this one: that I didn’t even cutely suggest was “-Mark Twain”?

He never said it, I assume, as he wouldn’t have known what the internet or ImgFlip was naturally

Thought that was obvious but guess you missed the joke

Hope this helps

Since you showed how big a fool you are by attempting and failing to weasel your ass out of another one of your idiotic comments I'll give you a list of my sources and finish what you started.

You're as bad at telling jokes as you are at telling the truth.

Hope this helps
