- This here meme is a repost -

I was gonna say something along the lines you did, that it wasn't Feminism that was the problem, but Feminists, or, to be precise, Feminazis...

Please know that it's not all of us who are like this, please.

I know.

We need activists of all sorts, and they all have their more extreme fringes.
Since Feminism has been long established with a huge membership, those extremists can sound rather loud is all.

Thanks.
Some French or whatever woman posted it on a forum I used to frequent, but she didn't tell me who made it or where she found it.

Wow, interesting that a woman posted it. I love women, don't get me wrong, but too many are latching onto "feminism", which is a complete misnomer.

Unless she was a catfish...
She was pretty cool, but started getting weird with everyone on the forum, including me whom she had started messaging for a while. That ended when I disagreed on some minor issue. She blew up because my attitude wasn't in line with hers.

Perhaps focusing on equality for all people instead of just females would be better...

Yeah, I there's a lot of them out there. It's kind of a weird thing to engage in, but I can see why someone would do it. I like having discussions with people that don't exactly agree on everything. When the latter is happening, it's just a mutual admiration society. Challenging peoples' opinions is good for the mind. I've had people sway me with good arguments before. It's actually quite enlightening and exhilarating.

Same here. If I want to hear an echo of myself, I'll talk to the mirror.

Also I like to look at things through different angles, so often have multiple views on them.
Add to that a thing for playing Devil's Advocate or chiming in with the minority viewpoint under siege, and prisms get illuminated.

Seeking confirmation merely leads to ossification, other voices lead to growth - in strength and in breadth.
0 ups, 3y
Very nicely said there. I also play Devil's advocate...my friends/family partially hate me for it. Well, not "hate", but, yeah...I have toned it way down since I was a youngster, so what you see now is not indicative of my peak "argument phase". I went to university to become a lawyer, got a BA in pre-law, took the LSAT and scored well, and never applied to even one law school. I kind of gave up my dream in favor of an easier existence, I suppose. Sometimes I regret it, but for the most part I'm glad I don't work 70-100 hour weeks and have little to no flexibility with work schedule. I also like to defend minority viewpoints, sometimes. And some of those time, I'm playing Devil's advocate at the same time.

It's funny you should mention illuminated prisms. I watched a movie last night that hinged upon prisms being illuminated for the plot to come together and for their to be a happy ending. Can you guess which movie it was? It's not a blockbuster movie, so this one's pretty tough...unless you consult the interwebs. Even then, you may not be able to figure it out.

SALUTE TO YOU SIR.
It’s not the message we are specifically against.. it’s the almost brutal fashion it is delivered in.
Ya know, makes ya kinda hyper-defensive 🤷‍♂️

Peace.

Movements need radical elements to drive them - ask for 70 when you really want 50 but will have to settle for 40 for the time being - but too excessive and confrontational will only serve to radicalize opposing views, cementing them, and thus nothing is gained other than animosity...

3 ups, 3y,

I respect your comment and believe you, but I am convinced that the non-crazies need to be more aggressive at denouncing the crazies. It's usually the case that the loudest of the bunch are the craziest, and because they are the loudest, that's all people see/hear.
3 ups, 3y,

That's true. I try to call them out whenever I see them, but I don't see them in person very often.
3 ups, 3y,

That's good on you. Thanks for doing that. Women who have male kids could be doing more to defend men from attack by these femiNazis, as VagabondSouffle so eloquently put it. How can anyone condemn an entire gender and think that they are righteous in doing so? It is totally absurd.
3 ups, 3y,
1 reply
I dunno, maybe they were hurt really bad? Not an excuse, though.
4 ups, 3y
Possibly, but it's still not acceptable, which you seemed to confirm at the end of your comment. I want equality for all, but not if they tell me that there has to be inequality, i.e. revenge, first, in order to get to actual equality.

because most memers get the wrong definition of feminism. while feminism actually is against sexism and pro gender equality, now memers think it just means hating men, because they can't handle the fact that sexism still exists today, and they're used to seeing all feminists as man hating lesbians.
1 up, 3y,

No, it is because the movement has continued to evolve and in need of new targets to attack since many have issues been addressed, so the growing tendency is one directed more against men themselves, as opposed to striving for equality.
3 ups, 3y,
1 reply
most feminists aren't man hating lesbian blue haired women that want to kill every male.
1 up, 3y
But it's being hijacked by those who are. The movement can't be static, push is necessary for continuance, and sadly that's the direction because the rest is repitition.

Equal wage is all I really care about. I feel we might need to listen more to male rape and abuse victims.

Thing is, equal pay and same pay for same work can be two different things...
Pay may not aways be the same, but of also of concern are lags in job promotions.

A common misconception is that women do less work than men. That is just false. No way to put it otherwise
0 ups, 3y,

One case cited for 'equal pay' is that waitresses should be paid as much as plumbers, which as anyone who's ever tried can tell you, a pad and pen and 5 seconds training is all a waitress needs, plumbers, not quite exactly, and a helluva lot more sweating there too.

What is not cited as a case for equal pay are other restaurant workers, where waitresses make more money than servers, bussboys, dishwashers, and often even cooks, and do far less work than any of them.

Well.

A waitress and a plumber is not the same job. A case for equal pay would be if waiters got paid more than waitresses and were more likely to be promoted. For your information, the current statistics for full time workers is that men will get paid 8.9% more money for the same amount of work. And don't worry. I know plenty of men who have noticed that they will get paid more and get promoted more than women.

No, waiteresses and waiters are the SAME job, not equal - which was the point I made that you addressed.

Oh, and guess who has a greater chance of getting hired as well as receive bigger tips for them child bearing hips,,,

''Same amount of work'' means nothing, wages vary for everyone, even WITHIN the groups you're comparing.

READ the intitial comment you replied to over and over till you understand the meaning of the words.

Oh, and look up what female military do NOT do as well as firefighters and whatever other jobs where they can't carry the load.

I won't deny that women aren't as physically strong as men, but what I can say is that women (in current society) are more emotionally strong
0 ups, 3y
More emotionally strong? As in the ability to use their tears to manipulate people?
Cool, let them fight a war with that. Between the tears and the hell-hath-wrath, they'd nuke the enemy with the flutter of an eyelash.

It’s because of the comments like “we should send men into space with the rest of our trash” “it is impossible for men to have feelings” “there are only two genders, female and rapist” you see where this is going?

There's some different kinds of feminists, firstly.
And the only ones that I'd think of, as unreasonable, are Radical Feminists. Yes, memers hate them, along with most men and many women.
It's just because they explicitly declare all men, criminals. Meme-able stuff.
But others just work for an end to sexism, not for female dominance, not for killing men.

Ummm... I gave y'all the Radical Feminist view out the writings of Ann Oakley and Shulamith Firestone. Then rejected it.
I support the Liberal Feminist view, that acknowledges development in society and wishes for 'equality' and not matriarchy or patriarchy.
I just wasn't in the mood for a sociology lesson, I was being a memer like I'm supposed to be.

I know it's toxic but I can't help posting memes that challenge their short sighted views. Knowing that I pissed them off is satisfying, but sad too because they are so dumb.

I quit doing that 😂
Just cuz they really don't understand.
3 ups, 3y
I don’t hate feminism, in fact I’m all for it. Some people just take it way too far and it causes problems. Those problems lead to people going against it
