I believe that the word "homophobe" is inaccurate. It is often used describe any person who objects to homosexual behaviour on moral or religious grounds. It actually describes a person who has an irrational fear of homosexuality. Principled disagreement, therefore, cannot be labeled as "homophobia". And I believe that homosexuality is a sin, because I am a practicing Traditional Roman Catholic. But I am not a homophobe since I do not have a phobia of homosexuality, and I do not hate anybody because Jesus said to love your neighbour. I support the right for homosexuals to sin, because I have no right to tell others how to live their lives. I believe consenting adults should be allowed to practice homosexuality, but they should not be allowed to negatively affect others. This includes forcing people to bake gay wedding cakes, shoving homosexuality in the faces of young children, and making people call transgenders by their "preferred pronouns".
