There is no way in hell anyone has enough time to get nearly 350 k points in one week without cheating.

The math is certainly possible if your stuff is upvoted enough.

2 submissions per day * 7 days * 500 upvotes per submission * 40 points per upvote = ~280,000 just from Fun stream submissions, ignoring comments and other streams

Whether this person uses alt accounts or friends to quickly upvote his images immediately to provide an unfair boost is a separate question. Most high point earners attempt something of that sort and we have some mitigation for it, but we might add some extra transparency so it's more obvious if something shady is happening.

I don't see any evidence Church is cheating. It looks more to me like the kids are gravitating to him as their new leader with Raydog on hiatus and Ememeon gone. Plus the userbase has been growing recently, so I imagine that's helping him out as well. And of course it's always helpful to be named after another massively popular former user ;)

I do believe I follow Church, not regularly since I'm not a kid and the content is just not in my wheelhouse, but I sometimes see memes of his on my front page with 300+ comments. Comments on your memes yield a fair number of points, no?

I've clicked on a few of those mega-comment threads: usually they have many many short, rapid-fire replies without much substance. Doesn't seem to be with the intention of garnering points, just seems to be how kids these days like to interact. But not against TOS by any stretch to do this, IMO.

If it's still a concern, maybe change the point system by making meme comments stop generating points after 50 or 100 or 200 comments, or the point value of comments could be related in some way to the length of the comment.

But I don't really think it's a big deal

I do not pointfarm, nor get people to upvote my own memes. I haven't upvote begged in the past month or so. Idrk why people upvote my memes tbh, they are low effort memes.
