It is true that the two parties have evolved. Both of the parties are still imperfect. However, in today's current state, the republican party consistently oppresses marginalized groups and opposes things that will help society (like socialized healthcare and abortion.)

my mother could have aborted me. If she thought that I would have gotten in the way of her life, if she thought she would die in childbirth, or if she just wasn't ready for a baby then she could have. THAT IS FINE

It's not fair. It is killing an human being who is not to blame for the irresponsible sexual behavior of his parents.

If abortion never existed then there would be more teen pregnancy, more people who struggle with getting jobs because they dropped out to take care of their child, and more overpopulation with an increase to population density. Is that the world you want to live in? And about that "irresponsible sexual behavior" comment, people can still get pregnant if they use both condoms and birth control.

The gestating human being is not to blame for any of the problems mentioned. Also, those issues are highly debatable, but that's another topic.
