The argument that is being made, was at the time Obama (D) was in office, while the Senate was majority Republican.
So in that case, the argument was made to let the next President (assuming Hillary) to choose the next jurist.
In this case, the argument they are giving is that since the President and the senate are both Republican, then they can choose whoever they want because they are already in power. And they can.
There's no law that says the President can't pick someone in their final year of office, and even Ginsberg herself stated (When Obama picked Garland and the senate stonewalled him) that the President has the right to choose, no matter if it's in the last year of their term or not.
Next time pick a better candidate to run (than Hillary). I think it's moot anyway, Biden can barely walk or talk and all this wokeness in media, sports and entertainment has poisoned the waters for a lot of people. Not to mention all the BLM riots. But hey, burn it to the ground, that's just turning more and more people away from the Democrats.
