Forest management has been neglected for decades in California. This is bigger problem with large fires. More fuel, hotter burns large fires

Yes, negligence of forest management is most certainly adding to the issue of far left activists setting everything in sight ablaze during the driest season of the year.
It's up to the voters of California to hold politicians accountable for bad policies. Too bad they are more focused on defunding the police, literally the only ones willing to take these freaks off the streets.
With less arson, our firefighters might actually be able to focus on all of these horrible accidental fires that evil b*tch mother nature keeps starting!
To blame any of this on climate change is simply the biggest cop out from the truth I can even imagine. Nice try tho.

The EPA has been setting those fires for years. Then they sell off protected land to the highest bidder. Check where the fires were. Next year, prime real estate
5 ups, 4y
Regardless of who owns it, the forest management has been neglected for decades. The state tends to own the areas near population centers. Both the Feds and States have been negligent in mitigation outside population. Centers. The question is does California’s cyclical droughts reflect historical patterns or are they a brand new phenomenon. A review of the history of California droughts shows that they are relatively common and periodic.

What an iron grip on facts and logic you have there, Princess.

Um, these people were all arrested for fires set purposefully by them, not nature or accident. That is what arson charges mean. The judge or jury will decide soon.

The avoidance of reality you endure on a daily basis to keep your safe little bubble of false reality intact must be extremely exhausting for you. Sending hugs lol! xD

So these eight people don't exist? Or don't count?

Because what I see here is you trivializing a problem because it doesn't fit your preconceived notions.

You are the most special kind of stupid. The number of 42,000 is how many total fires have been reported since January 1st. Not burning right now, so let's get real. If you're going to try and make big 'boi' arguments, it's time to do some big boi research. Sorry if reading isn't your strong suit lol!

Lmao more people are alleged arsonists this year than those 8... actually with crime stats from the FBI the average number of people arrested for arson each year is right around 41,000 so by your logic EVERY single fire has been arson lol. Which obviously isn't true. We dont have the exact amount for 2020, the latest year is 17, but I can assume at least a couple more have been started in all those "fiery but peaceful protests" you lefties love! Us on the right dont need to burn cities to make our point. We just show up at the capitol and we get called the crazy terrorists loons? Hmm ok... have more kool aid. Bye boi!

Exactly... eight people that the police had enough evidence to arrest and bring to court. So far.
A police officer is on video confirming it was an antifa affiliated "activist" and he was shortly after put on suspension not bc he lied but he obviously just spoke outwardly about a still ongoing investigation.
40,000 is a YUGE stretch, maybe for the world idk lol, but here in America we have over 2,000. The west coast is LIT.
The percent of "major massive" wildfires caused by arson, that I can not tell you. But I can say 87% of fires that result in injuries or property damage are man made. Not arson, but that gets lumped into the best stats I have. More than zero though, I promise you.
My consensus on climate change is yes. The climate does change. Glad we can at least agree on something!
4 ups, 4y,

Maybe you missed the stats: 87% of wildfires are started by humans. That means 36,540 fires were started by people (not arson specifically, but neglect and accidents).

How many of those fires were started by careless rioters and how many were intentionally set? They caught 8 people, there's no telling how many they didn't catch or how many fires were set by those 8.
1 up, 4y,

The fires started by (a handful) of arsonists are no way NEAR the acreage damage of the massive wildfires started accidentally or through lightning strikes.
2 ups, 4y
Except we don't know that. I'll wait and see. In the meantime anyone with half a brain should move out of California and never vote dem again.

If you have some info that can "SPECIFICALLY" get me those numbers, I'm waiting patiently. Bringing up FBI stats in a discussion about arson in the country seems like a pretty direct approach to me? Also bringing up the fact that we all have seen more recordings of fires being intentionally set this year (and widely spreading across many neighborhoods by ppl chanting BLM) than any other year I can remember doesnt feel that off base at all. It is an ongoing issue so the numbers being released are the last concern of our police forces at the moment, but time will tell. All I can do is go off of the research and the stats I can find right now. You wont even look? That sounds more like the attention span of a goldfish, much less a 3yo!

Bringing FBI stats on arson as whole on a discussion about arson in relation to wildfire is wholly irrelevant when a vast majority of arson is directed at buildings, not forests.

And FYI, a dumpster fire isn't a wildfire. Just delineating the difference here.

When we are discussing the wildfires that are encouraged by leftist policies, (and see the groups these leaders support openly take a FAR left turn bordering on full blown anarchy, trying to dismantle our society completely before our eyes) then yes the FBI crime stats for recent years are more than relevant to the convo. No, a dumpster fire is not a wildfire. When it spreads to the entire neighborhood and then takes over a crispy dry forest that democrats refuse to touch, the resulting forest fire cannot be blamed on a changing climate. It is blamed on democrats that let criminals run the city without consequences and who squander tax dollars that should be going to preventing this from happening. That includes park management, fire response crews and most importantly, fully funded police!

You are trying to tie two things that aren’t related. Some rioters setting isolated street fires is not the same as setting a wildfire. There’s a difference. Even the police understand this. Why don’t you?

And here’s a question for you: What causes crispy dry forests? All the evidence points to a specific worldwide phenomenon.

Although we can agree they may look like bums and very well may end up huddled together around a barrel for warmth someday, please just take a peek outside your blinders just for a second and try and tell any of the business or homeowners that have lost their property 'isolated street fires' and see what they say. Once buildings start to burn it doesnt take much to spark up the years and years of dead underbrush that should have been gathered and maintained.
1 up, 4y
Again: wildfires and building fires are two different things. You’re trying way too hard to veer off topic.

"wildfires that are encouraged by leftist policies."
You are most f***ing retarded idiot I have ever seen.
Every wildfire is directly because of tRUMPf. I'd be surprised if he didn't light the match himself.
