The reason people have time to argue about cough fit 19 is *because* it's not as bad as we were told it was. If it were as deadly as Ebola - which is how the media, and the Most Holy and Infallible Reverend Saint Anthony are *still* portraying it after *six months* - we would be too *scared* to go outside, let alone argue over whether it's safe to do so.

“This is more deadly,” he said. “This is five per — you know, this is 5 percent versus 1 percent and less than 1 percent, you know. So, this is deadly stuff.”

Did you know the Black Death got bigger because of the mass genocide of cats because cats were associated with witches, so there weren’t enough cats to kill rats, also it wasn’t the rat that caused the Black Death it was the fleas that were on them and on there rat droppings

The average amount of people killed by COVID a day is bigger than the average of the flu. So for now,(until the vaccine comes out) COVID is more dangerous.
0 ups, 4y
no certainly not

Covid-19 is just like the Flu
4 ups, 4y,

Covid has a much higher death rate slightly different symptoms then the flu. Plus covid can effect every body part. Covid also is way more contagious. Covid also is more likely to make people need hospital equipment.
3 ups, 4y,

Nope. Covid lower than flu. Hardly anyone dies from either, actually. It is an outright lie that covid affects "every part of the body". This is modern medicine not witchcraft. We have known since the 1960s that coronaviruses only cause flu-like symptoms. "Way more contagious" yet less deaths than flu means it is MUCH, MUCH weaker. "Need more hospital equipment" is an absolute lie. There are ZERO treatments for the over-hyped non-specific malady known as covid-19 and NO special equipment. They used ventilators in the beginning and stopped when they realized they were killing over 80% of the patients.

According to the CDC, flu kills at most 61,000 in an entire year.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html

And so far, Covid-19 has killed more than three times that amount with over 189,147 deaths and counting.

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fcoronavirus%2F2019-ncov%2Fcases-updates%2Fcases-in-us.html#cases

Since I was gracious enough to share my source, do you have a source to counter this argument or is it just wishful thinking that Covid-19 is less deadly than influenza?
2 ups, 4y,
1 reply
The CDC combines flu and pneumonia deaths in one category, the vast majority of which are from pneumonia, not flu. This has been known for a long time. Try to keep up. If you don't follow the subject and don't want to do the research, stop blithely asking for sources. The CDC itself is the source.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Are you saying more than 61,000 people die from influenza? Are you saying less? If so, then that means that Covid is still more deadly.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Hardly anyone dies from influenza or coronaviruses. The only danger is if left unchecked it can possibly develop into a case of pneumonia, and those are not the only causes of pneumonia. If treatment is unsuccessful a patient can die from pneumonia. So the numbers are quite low. Medical errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the US. Like the use of ventilators which killed 80% of so-called covid patients. More have been killed by medical responses to covid than people dying from any flu or cold.

Again, no. If you're sick enough to be put on a ventilator and you still die, that speaks more on the deadliness of the disease than it is the ventilator. Your option is 0% likely to survive without a respirator versus a 22% likely to survive, I bet you'll choose the ventilator. Well, most people would. That said, most of those reports were in April, and since then the survival rate has improved drastically. I, unfortunately, do not have those numbers beyond articles claiming the survival rate has risen in June or July. But perhaps you can find something a little more recent than that? It would be nice if you contributed something based on relevant and recent information.
1 up, 4y,

WRONG.
They've absolutely recognized that the ventilators killed patients and now recommend intubation. It's a very widely reported story and easy to find. Only a suicidal idiot would take a ventilator over intubation.

The "deadliness" or survival rates of the disease have not changed. It's just run out of people to potentially affect. As data come in it shows that it was never more dangerous than the flu ALL ALONG.

Just because you are too lazy to do the research for the past 2 months for information that is widely available, don't try to put it down as me not contributing anything recent or relevant. Your obvious ignorance of the ventilator issue, which was over 3 months ago, shows you are arrogant despite being grossly underinformed.
1 up, 4y
I’ve provided links to my sources and acknowledged that ventilators were caught early in April. I asked you to back up your claim that 80% of the 189,000 people died from ventilators and all you have is old news and bogus information.

Proving the only one who is grossly underinformed is you.

covid isnt THAT deadly, its kind of the flu with extra steps
1 up, 4y
It isn't that deadly but it should still be taken seriously due to the fact it is super contagious. Plus it is ALOT more deadly then the flu. though it isn't that deadly.
