Unless or until the movement for black equality changes its name from the Marxist political organization, they will suffer the guilt of association and continue to divide.

They need to retract and denounce that slide. No lives matter is the only my shirt approved for everyone

not every protest is a riot. yall focus on those while peaceful protesters are being detained in portland and all over the country by the federal police.

Peaceful my ass. If they are so peaceful why do they need billions to repair the damage?

its because of the few riots that make the damages. there are so many more peaceful protests than riots.

i dont agree with the riots, however what the law enforcement is doing is wrong. tbh i dont think that law enforcement should be defunded. there should be more training and more time looking at peoples resumes. the technology should be there in case of a shooting or something serious.

you would think after months of people pleading for equal treatment, actually decades, something would change.
2 ups, 4y
Months? Try over 100 years. The road to equality has been a long one filled with oppression, beatings, lynchings, murders, denial of education, denial of jobs, denial of civil rights. Laws get passed yet institutions just keep on rolling like they always did. And the denials keep coming like they always have. It’s shameful.

That’s the big lie. That things haven’t changed since the equal rights movement of the 60’s. It is an utterly absurd comment. Until recently America was more tolerant than it has ever been. Many successful black people at high levels of various industries. Equality under the law is a reality. Equality of opportunity has many factors that play. No father is proven to limit your chances of success. That can’t be legislated not mr is it whote people’s fault unless they are the father. It is a complex issue but to say no progress in decades is ridiculous.

Tolerant how? There have always been talented people of color who were able to find success. That in itself doesn’t prove there is no racism and even those people had to battle racism every step of the way. Tiger Woods has spoken about what he dealt with at the affluent golf clubs he’s played at. And the civil rights movement didn’t stop racism.

For instance, laws had to be passed just in the 80’s to prevent schools from sticking children of color into special ed who weren’t special needs. Racist teachers and administrators were getting away with it probably since minorities were first allowed to go to the same schools. It still happens today and that’s just one institution.

Every white person doesn’t succeed either. Is that because of racism? The life choices you make and your parents before you make are precursors to your success. You can wallow in self pity or overcome. Pulling up some obscure incident in one school districts doesn't prove anything either. The fact is under the law you are equal. If someone is violating those laws they need to be held accountable whatever color they are. The law should have no color nor favor anyone color neither by protection or promotion.

the equal rights movement helped stop some segregation and a small bit of racism. yes it helped but racism is not abolished or not evident at all. there is racism everywhere, sadly baked into this country. but watch how pretty much nothing has changed since the george floyd protests. like maui onion said, people are denied jobs because of color.

Oh bull puckey. Sometimes people may not like you. That could be because you are a dick not necessarily because you are a poc. There is prejudice everywhere as all people possess it. Prejudice can be many things m,from skin color, to stature, to the way you dress, to almost anything imaginable. It guides who we are aware of and who we are wary of. Who we want to be around and who we don’t. Many people of color are racist and prejudice as well. You are obviously kids so you need to educate yourself and think for yourself and not what some SJW tells you.
