"The left" is the political left further left than democrats. Far left commies, such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have infiltrated and taken over the democratic party. Most democratic moderates have noticed this and are fleeing the party until it normalizes.

Here is how I know you are full of it: Bernie and AOC are considered 'lefties' in the USA but in Canada are considered fairly normal because we already have universal healthcare and other social systems, though are far from perfect. I'd go out on a limb here to say that Canada is not in bad shape but could use more of these leftie/central leaders. Why? Not to make our country control the means of production like communist countries, but because sharing profits is fair and helps regular working folks get ahead and not be abused by the state. It's tough watching US news that dumbs down the messages to simplify, losing important nuances and in some cases panders to politics. They can't be truly impartial because the system is so much based on money, they have to gin up the messaging to get people interested without being outright banned.

Despite all of that, Canada is still a capitalist country. The means of production is not owned by the state and there is private property. You can speak out against the government without risking your life. Canada isn’t a one-party state. Pictures of Vladimir Lenin or Mao Zedong aren’t emblazoned in front of classrooms. Kids aren’t forced to wear uniforms with a hammer and sickle pinned on their jackets. That’s exactly what AOC, Sanders, or really anyone in the US Democratic Party anymore, wants. They want to turn America into just that.

San Diego and Orange County have large red populations and are in southern California

In all states they can't turn you away from emergency room visits and there are non-governmental clinics that will see you for free. We have universal healthcare, its just not run by the government.

Mail in voting and ballot harvesting may change that though.
