Well - in the aspect that we are specs in a near endless universe & the most important things happening in it are lost to us, due to our technological hindrances. In that aspect what we do or don't do - or who we vote for or don't - doesn't matter. In 1000 years - no one in that time will care about any of this.

"Most important things" matters to who? If there is an uncaring universe out there, then the "most important things" are right here on earth where people care about them.

An "uncarung" about US HERE. The universe doesn't care about Earth in particular - most of the universe doesn't know earth and humans are even a thing.

With its size and potential for more advanced sciences beyond our scientific achievements - it is also likely the most important scientific achievements didn't happen here on earth.

There is no evidence of life anywhere but earth. Therefore until some materializes, the universe is uncaring.

Uh no. We've been sampling the data from the vast reaches of space since the 1940's. There is zero evidence of any intelligent life in space, Earth included.

& we have sampled a spec of sand from a smaller spec of sands perspective...

We literally know MAYBE 3% of potential things to know in this universe. And have mapped less than that of total space in the universe.

And we've found intelligent life in that 3% right?
