Roast beef and swiss, havarti, or muenster is a go-to for me. I put it on a good hearty country white bread with some mayo and a little hot paprika, then press and toast it in a pan with butter till the cheese melts. It's a simple sandwich, but delicious.

If I'm at a sub shop or something though I usually get some sort of Italian meats (ham, capicola, salami, peppenero, etc.) with provolone, lettuce, onion, salt/pepper/oregano, oil & vinegar, and if they have it some pepper relish.

Favorite novelty sandwich? The Elvis Presley. Peanut butter, banana, and bacon...don't knock it till you try it, it's delicious. It's also one of the reasons he died, so go easy on them, lol.

Havarti is my favorite sammich cheese. Followed closely by sharp cheddar.

Havarti is delicious, sort of the best of swiss cheese meets provolone, very mild and melty! I'm a sucker for extra sharp Vermont white cheddar, especially the good aged stuff that's almost crumbly. I know you like spicy stuff too, so try to find you some Dietz and Watson Jalapeno/Cayenne cheddar...that stuff is delicious.

Yeah, that's why I like Havarti so much. I like to eat it all by itself sometimes, too. I love 5-year cheddar, 7 or 8-year is probably my favorite, but 5-year is my go-to sharp cheddar. 10-year is also great and it is very crumbly. I think the crumbliness starts at about 7-year. I don;t care if it's white or dyed orange, all the same to me. Cheese is so damn good, and I'm lactose intolerant...just had a terrible bout of it after eating a lot of cheese last night...never heard of that specific cheese, but I will Google it and see if I can procure it without having to pay up the ass because I'd be shipping it long distance and quite possibly all by itself, thus increasing the freight adder.

Lots of grocery stores carry it. In my area it's either Boars Head or D&W, so it just depends on what the preferred vendor is for a particular store. I just looked and they're based out of Philly so if they ship it to my area they should ship it to yours I would think. Granted, you're in dairy country so y'all probably export more cheese than you import, lol.

Gotcha. Yes, we have insane amounts of cheese here in WI. Amish country out here produces some incredible cheeses. Many of my favorite cheeses are spicy. I love pepper jack cheeses. Some are not great, but then others are incredibly good. Also, love habanero cheeses. There are very few cheeses I do not love.

LOL, I thought of Elvis when I saw this meme.
I've been eating bacon & egg sandwiches w/ duck eggs lately.
I love em.

I can't actually say that I've ever tried a duck egg before, but I like duck, and I like eggs so I'm sure I'd like duck eggs. Where do you get them?
2 ups, 4y,

There's a local guy that sells stuff like that,
He's a beekeeper that sells honey & whatnot.
The duck eggs are a little larger than chicken eggs & the yolks
are really big & dense & taste kinda like cheese when you cook em.

Damn that sounds delicious...I would have actually thought they would be smaller for some reason. My dad keeps bees...maybe I should ask him if he has any duck eggs, lol. I've had quail eggs before, which was sort of a novelty but honestly nothing I would get excited about.

I'm all about the duck eggs now, dude. They're super nutritious.
Good on your old man for keeping bees. I hope to try it myself sometime, but
as it is, our garden is pushing the limits of the yard space, haha. We're trying to get out to the country soon, I'm done w/ living in the city.

I hear you on the city crap. I grew up in the sticks and I now live in the burbs, HOA's suck. Yeah my dad has kept them for about 5 years now, this has been his best year for getting his hives healthy, I think he has 3 now. He was going to rob for honey a few weeks ago but decided against it in favor of making sure they have plenty of honey for the winter. He robbed about this same time a couple of years ago and lost all his bees, had to start from scratch. I never knew how much goes into beekeeping till he started, it's amazing how many things can (and do) go wrong, but if you can keep it going it's very rewarding and great for agriculture. Nothing better than a spoonful of honey harvested right out of your back yard too, that's pretty awesome.

We came across a bee keeper at this big park we go to w/ the dogs-- he was leaving the scene after harvesting from a few hives they have out in this field. His truck was swarmed by the bees & as he drove past, they directed their fury at me. Somehow, they left my wife & the dogs alone, but I got stung a dozen times or so, around the head & ears. I got swarmed twice, bcuz they came after me again when we were leaving! XDD

Either you smelled sweeter than your wife and dog (lol) or looked like more of a threat. We're you wearing black by chance? They don't like black clothing, it's believed that they associate that with bears. That's why all bee suits are light colored or white. That sucks dude!
2 ups, 4y
That's weird, I very well could have been wearing a black t-shirt. I have a few of them.
Yeah, it did suck. My head was pounding like I got punched a bunch of times.

I've got a lot of favorite sammiches, so the ingredients list I have for sammiches as a whole is hundreds of ingredients long. One of my faves is a pastrami on rye with havarti cheese, mayo, and a brown mustard. Toasted is best, but untoasted is great too. Grilled cheese sammiches are also a fave of mine. You can do them very vwery simple with just cheese and bread, or you can go crazy and add bacon, tomatoes, a whole bunch of different cheeses, other shit. Yeah, I love me a good sammich.

Peanut butter and grape jelly for pb&j, for egg, an egg, and mayonnaise with a bit off pepper and mustard.

No lie, one of my favorites is simply tomato, bell pepper, and mustard on wheat bread.

Sauce. Lots of sauce. I'd rather have sauce in between bread then a sandwich with no sauce

I love a good crab or lobster salad for my sandwiches. Also very fond of a good reuben, with corned beef, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing on rye bread.
