I support the my body my choice argument. And that is why I oppose abortion and mandatory face masks.

Not really, because abortion supporters do not support the choice of the infant being brutally torn apart.

I wear a mask when I go out. Not because I'm scared of catching the virus, because I really don't care about that (there are viruses everywhere), but because I try to obey the government when it doesn't conflict with my beliefs. Abortion is 100% wrong, no argument there, and I think it would probably be better for masks to be suggested rather than mandated. Let private businesses set those requirements for their own establishments.

for someone who thinks we should stop every abortion because you believe 'all lives are important' but thinks we should be sending our kids into virus havens your words are a joke and an embarrassment

Shows me how much you don't care about statistics. Statistics show that children aren't getting this virus and don't spread it. But you keep virtue signalling.
0 ups, 4y,

have you been misinformed? why wouldnt children be able to transmit the virus?
[deleted]

I don't know, you tell me. I'm not a viral specialist/expert. I didn't say they don't spread it at all. I was referring to the fact that the vast majority don't get it or they don't get any real affects from it and do pass it along to others at an alarming rate.

The average age of those getting the virus is 77-80 years old. The total amount of children who have died from this is well under 1,000 even though there are more children under 20 living in this country.

the fact that the data doesnt show that children spread the virus as much as adults is due to the fact that we had the kids go home before the virus struck down on us hard. there isnt very much data on children and covid at all. technically we could reopen all the schools to study the effects of having kids give each other covid, but id bet money that would smack us in the face very quickly.

i disagree with your theory that something being statistically insignificant right now means that it isnt to be considered at all. 77-80 year olds generally have grandkids or even great grandkids, and potentially exposing them to covid is not in any way a good idea.

Where do you get the idea I don't believe covid is real?

Herd immunity.

the made up nonsense is 'protecting our senior citizens actually'

and herd immunity is only applicable if you believe eugenics should be used on humans

Utter nonsense. We've been exposed to coronaviruses all our lives. It's the same category as flu and it's a rare case if someone ever dies from complications from it, and the stats for that on children approach zero, even for adults the rate is a mere 0.04 percent, lower than for the flu.

Healthy people are not carriers or spreaders, even WHO admits as much.
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
what? 'coronaviruses' arent covid-19, man. you obviously dont take anything very seriously because if you did you would have known what youve said is here is very stupid. i dont know where you got that .04% number from but i can tell you that corona can cause damage to organs, like the lungs and brain. i think those things being damaged could possibly be cause for complications long after youve recovered from the virus itself. and of course healthy people are not carriers or spreaders, theyre healthy. ill assume you meant asymptomatic people, but thats also not true. they contribute to spreading less than symptomatic people, but not not at all, certainly not enough to justify further spreading the virus.

Seems you've contracted a brain eating virus. You don't have the basic facts, just hysterics and fear-mongering. If you don't know covid means coronavirus you are beyond hopeless ignorance. I'm sorry you've lost the game, match and set. Better luck next time.

Actually statistics purport that home is actually where you catch the virus. Do you wear a mask at home around your family? Why not? You don’t care about the ones you love the most?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
are you dumb? covid doesnt come from a vacuum, the obvious reason why home is where most people catch the virus is because at least one person went out, got the virus, and went home, spreading it throughout the household. which would be significantly less likely to happen if that person went out, wore a mask, and practiced social distancing on their errands.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Do you live in a bomb shelter where no one has to go out of the house? You saying people who went out wearing masks don’t get the virus and no one who wears masks dies. Who’s dumb. Logic doesn’t care about your fear and paranoia and neither do you if it’s inconvenient. Unless you wear a mask at all times or sleep alone. Not likely
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
yeah masks arent 100% effective, if everyone was wearing them when they went out theres only like a 98% chance of not catching the rona. thats why you also have to social distance so people dont get close enough for that 2% risk to be significant in your life.
1 up, 4y,

Nice percentages you made up and throw in like your beliefs are facts. Wear a mask if you want, that’s your decision. Other people have other beliefs and their own decisions to make. If you own a business you decide if you will require them or not and people who don’t like your decision don’t have to do business there. Easy Peasy! You have the right to stay the f**k home if you are afraid of the world. Every other virus in history there was not a worldwide shutdown to avoid it. Masks don’t make it go away, it only slows it down to keep the hospitals from overcapacity.
0 ups, 4y
i should probably clarify with those statistics that the '98%' isnt meant to imply the chance of catching the rona without a mask is 100%, it's meant as in 'of the 15% or 16% chance of catching the rona, after putting the mask on that number 15% has an amount decrease of 90%'. honestly the percent the masks decrease the chance of contracting the virus isnt as important as the fact that they do work to some degree
0 ups, 4y
did you decide my numbers were made up because you actually have the real numbers or did you just decide they were based on your feelings?

so, by your logic, manslaughter shouldnt be a punishable offense? people have rights and are free to exercise them and if others get in the way, thats on them.

there were major shutdowns in the past in response to pandemics, like the 1918 spanish flu, which also had weird anti-mask people. if you wanna go back to even earlier pandemics where they didnt have that shutdown nonsense, i could reliably attribute the cause being that the people living were dumbf**ks who believed in bad air and humours.

You're not going to die just because you don't wear a mask. I haven't worn one since the beginning of the "pandemic" and I haven't been sick. No one told you to not wear one, just as I won't be told to wear one.

scientifically, it'll help you stay safe. if you hate this lockdown so much, put on a mask.

look, if you want to deny scientific fact, fine. I know you trust the president, who suggested we INJECT LYSOL into our bodies, more than scientists. if you hate this lockdown so much, trust science and wear a mask, so it can pass away faster. if you want to act like this pandemic doesn't exist, ok. but that's like having a monster in front of you, and then you say "there's nothing there". so, yeah. it does exist.

"I see the disinfectant knocks (COVID) out in a minute, a minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets inside the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."
0 ups, 4y
Exactly where does it say go drink bleach. He is asking a question about possibilities. Just like with the UV light which is apparently being used now on Subway Cars. Likely he was briefed on possible research and used that as the basis. Any reasonable person that thinks that says drink bleach is a dumbf**k.

1) I didn't say the virus is fake and does not exist.

2) Trump never told anyone to inject Lysol into our bodies. You, like every other progressive or "never trumper," just take things he says out of context or just outright lie to push your hatred for him to the front of the line.

3) I don't have to wear a mask just because someone like you has a hangup about it. I am perfectly fine and I won't have the government tell me to obey.
