Police aren't allowed to execute junkies on the street either.

Execute is not the correct word here

It absolutely is. Police are carrying out death sentences with no trial for trivial crimes.

I’m not sure you understand how the neck pain works and how it’s used. It’s used all the time and people don’t die.

This time, a person died, so it's dangerous, stop using it.

A bodycam was leaked 2 days ago and Floyd was saying I can’t breathe BEFORE he was on the ground. He was high on meth and fentanyl. He said he had Covid. Pick one...

Is it discrimination that 12 yos can't drink alcohol?

At least you don't go around calling people idiots while being the biggest one around.

No it isn’t discrimination. Sometimes I’m ashamed of my own generation. I’m not saying that’s discrimination

Yeah, go on, just make stuff up. You know I haven't said or implied anything of the kind.
Your faux concern for kids has just become even more laughable, it's such a transparent veneer over your bigotry and hatred.
You are scared, but not for the vulnerable children.

You really are obsessed with pedophilia, aren't you?

You're starting to make me think of those priests who go on and on about how demonic and evil homosexuality is and then get caught in bed with some guy.
2 ups, 4y
I’m not saying he died of Covid. I’m saying that’s a possibility. I don’t jump to conclusions like leftists do

So the police saw a man who couldn't breathe, pinned him on the ground and held him there to die?

THAT'S NEGLIGENCE. THAT'S POLICE MISCONDUCT. THAT CHANGES NOTHING.
1 up, 4y
Yeah, every criminal junkie that mouths some excuse should be immediately released and driven home, marxist.

It hasn’t quite been proven yet that’s his cause of death. Don’t rush to judgment. I’m just saying too often people get convicted in the media before all the truth comes out.

Well, tell you what, let's have a trial and decide there. How's that sound?

So the first step is indicting the police.
1 up, 4y,

Thank you!

Justice is a thorough process to assemble fairly all the facts openly to arrive at the truth, and, if warranted, apply an appropriate remedy or penalty. Justice is not a predetermined outcome. Part of the process is to have an investigation to determine if a trial is warranted.

People need to be more patient.
If a jury finds any cop guilty, I can live with that. And I won’t be rioting

People are impatient BECAUSE COPS AREN'T GETTING INDICTED! They're getting put on paid leave while the whole thing gets swept under the rug.

You're saying "Thank you!" to me for saying we need a trial - BLM ASK FOR THE SAME THING! You just thanked me for saying exactly what Black Lives Matter are asking for - an end to police immunity, and let's see some freaking murder trials for the police who did this!

Breonna Taylor's killers are still free. Charges were dropped on Freddy Gray's killers. WHERE ARE THE TRIALS FOR THESE PEOPLE?

WHY IS YOUR ARMCHAIR TOXICOLOGY ANALYSIS THE CLOSEST WE WILL EVER GET TO A PROPER EVALUATION ON THIS?!

This is not my post, but I believe you are wrong. Nothing in the original post says anything about race. Stop making it about race. Go watch the body cams and read the transcripts of the body cams. There was nothing racial that the cops did

The body cams are being released subsequent to being leaked. I hope you get to see them. He was not cooperating and would not get in the police car. They had no way of knowing if he was overdosing. They suspected he was on something.Pinning someone to the ground is a common technique within the bounds of use of force.

Yes, they could’ve been more attentive to when he lost consciousness. I don’t believe they did anything intentional outside of the standards. Just a case of wrong place at the wrong time.
It’s my belief if he was overdosing, he would’ve died even if they gave him CPR.

Did. Did. The police aren't allowed to do that - STOP DEFENDING THEM.

And stop assuming that the victim was on drugs EVERY SINGLE TIME. Because first off, we know that's bullshit, and second, all you're arguing is that we should be charging the police with something different.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Do not put words in my mouth. I am not assuming EVERY SINGLE TIME somebody is on drugs. Watch the body cam and read the transcripts. The Seattle police suspected he may be on drugs because of how he was acting

You are rushing to judgment without all the facts.
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y,

Every time, same thing - "but he was on drugs". Every single time. It's like clockwork, you could set your alarm to it. And I did watch and I did read. You're just not listening now.

JUST ADMIT that you like it when people are killed by police. You enjoy the idea that there are situations where authority allows you to kill someone. You wish you could be there yourself. Because when a policeman kills someone, suddenly your deepest fantasies about taking a life are acceptable. You want to kill, but you want to kill "the bad guys".

And what pisses you off is that's changing. Because now we're asking for the police to do their job in a way where people stop being killed. And it's going to happen, too. Because it's NOT OK that you enjoyed this to begin with.

Police are not allowed to pin someone to the ground, police have NEVER EVER Been taught neck techniques
1 up, 4y
You are an idiot. Try reading a book, child, then trying again.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
I believe you are wrong.

They said Spokane Police officers will now recognize the technique as a ‘exceptional technique.’ This means that officers can still use this restraint, however, they will only use this technique if they’ve already tried other ways of restraining a person. For example, if a person continues to resist after an officer tries to restrain them using a wrist lock, depending on the situation, that officer may resort to using the ‘knee to neck’ technique.

....From Seattle news

1 up, 4y,

Seattle police standards allowed it, neck pin, to be used to control an uncooperative person. They have now changed the policy to “last resort use “ AFTER the fact.

It is taught and used by police departments across the country.

Police have authority to use force to apprehend.

If one fully cooperates with the police, they have no need to use force. Bottom line.

There is a world of difference between a “chokehold “ and a neck pin. Unfortunately the CNN article doesn’t explain the difference in how they work and when they are used.

The article also states that they’ve been used for many many years. Your claim that they’ve never been allowed to use a neck pain is completely false.

Once again, up until George Floyd the Seattle police were allowed to use the neck pin. After George Floyd, they’re only allowed to use it as a last resort.
