None of my forefathers owned slaves. As far as I know, my family tree all came here after the Civil War and, if I'm wrong on that, I know that all of my previous generations lived in the North.

to them, you're as privileged as me. raised myself, lived in poverty most my life, worked my way out after the military. half cuban half peurto rican. my skin is fairly white. if you didn't know me, you wouldn't guess my ethnicity. i have been called Kurdish at one point and in the same day Russian. i have been told to go back to my country.
