Trump's single action before ignoring the virus for 70 days didn't actually stop travel to or from China - it banned Chinese nationals.
Nearly half a million people on more than 1,300 direct flights to 17 American cities traveled to the United States with virtually no testing or contact tracing after arrival. This was and is an incomparably catastrophic failure on the part of the Trump administration.
Yet dems criticized that. This is unprecedented. I don't point fingers unless it's some tds retard blaming Trump while the dems would have, and it some cases, like Cuomo, made it worse. You dems have zero leg to stand on. You WOULD have let Chinese nationals have free travel, so spare me. Cuz it's rayyyyyyyyycccccciiiiiissssssss. Please...
We criticized it because it was ineffective and targeted at a nationality, not an actual protective measure.
We also criticized it because it was haphazardly implemented with almost zero notification, leading to massive pileups at every international airport in which people were forced to stand in close proximity for hours on end to answer a questionnaire because the administration decided to invent their own faulty test instead of using the existing one in use by literally everyone else at the time.
Like so much, your understanding of what we oppose and why is limited by a steady diet of propaganda.
Let's consider two diametrically opposed explanations for that (of course it's a false dichotomy, but that's where you've started us)
1) we hate the guy and will go against literally anything he does
or
2) he's a poorly educated narcissist, notorious for removing anyone he believes to be more educated than himself from his orbit, who openly shuns subject matter experts, and loudly declares nonsensical conclusions only to walk them back or pretend he never said them
Given these choices, how should the left have responded to his declaring masks to be patriotic a few weeks ago?
Might have been true even as recently as a couple weeks ago, but the exploding numbers across the red states mean the deaths in the states that experienced the bulk of early fatalities don't even constitute half the total anymore.
New York and New Jersey had a combined 35 deaths yesterday - Texas and Florida had 574.
Actual numbers are great until you realize Texas and Florida are in the early stages of massive outbreaks while New York and New Jersey have long since quelled their own.
Its not that I want it to - it's that I live here and saw people gathered in large crowds (50+) with no masks and not distancing three times today alone.
masks bad: Feb, March, April, May June, July
Poll numbers Bad: Feb march April May, June, July
Deaths from Covid Up. Feb March April May June, July
Masks Good: July?
Can anyone tell me what changed in Dumpys mind?
