Republicans Avoiding Trump Ties to Epstein

I won't defend Trump on his past with women, he's made lots of poor decisions in the past regarding women and treatment of others. However, he has never denied ties to Epstein. Quite the opposite in that he admitted he had ties to Epstein. He also broke those ties over a heated real estate battle. When you're the two most wealthy guys in Palm Beach, you walk in the same social circle. Of all the women who have come forward and accused different men of sexual abuse regarding the Epstein circle of friends, most accused Epstein himself or others like prominent lawyers, even Prince Andrew. Only one came forward to accuse Trump and it was conveniently during the 2016 election, and was quickly deemed a political smear and her case was decided to be unreliable and dismissed.

That said, if more women come forward and prove wrongdoing, the by all means throw the book at him. That includes Ghislaine Maxwell who if anybody is qualified to testify against him would be her.

Trump can't exactly deny ties to Epstein as there are tons of photos and some videos of them together.

I mean, he has certainly denied things he has said on video before, but this would make him look even more bat-shit crazy.

My point with this meme is that Republicans in my friend-circle are avoiding the conversation as it doesn't bode well with their arguments FOR supporting Trump. They just simply ignore it as if it isn't a cause or concern. As if it doesn't deserve any of their attention.

Because to acknowledge it publicly would mean that they concede that Trump isn't a demigod. And they rarely touch those waters.

Although, they would also agree, if Trumps name IS called, then we should throw the book at him.

But then again, that is only if it wasn't first discredited as Fake News and Maxwell is part of the deep state paid off by George Soros haha

It's a shame that people feel they have to fully embrace any politician and say they are free of wrongdoing. However, there are many (too many) just like your friends that refuse to consider it because politics are so divisive these days. We either have the right, or we have the left. Both sides have one or two major figureheads that are supposed to fully embody the whole party. I don't like Trump as a person, but I agree with a lot of his politics and approve of a lot of his accomplishments (not all) as President. I wish there were someone who could be both an accomplished President and also a moral person. That combination of things I think is just impossible to achieve in today's world, which is incredibly unfortunate. I think if we are to be responsible citizens, we have to recognize both the accomplishments AND the short comings/wrongdoings of our politicians, and people seem to be forced to accept either one or the other. I try not to be that way.
