Seems as though the local liberals don't understand the concept of an underlying point. I wouldn't worry, the rest of us do.

One day the actions that are perfectly acceptable to us will be deemed wrong by certain future people, and the great people of today will have their monuments destroyed by the left, all on the basis that the entire lives of those people can be condensed to a 3 word sentence like 'they wore fur' or 'didnt like crossdressers' and therefore their monuments are somehow affiliated..

I didn't know the World Trade Center was a giant pet store! I always thought it was a major commercial office hub.

That isn't what the meme is saying.
If we take this iconoclastic purism to its logical end, then people at some future point in time may feel that the people who died on 9/11 are no longer worth honoring because they engaged in some behavior/practice now viewed as immoral, such as owning pets or eating meat, or they might have said or done something that might have offended someone at some point in their lives.
