I don't care what 1 state/county/city/country does, I just care that the useful idiots that enabled the problems flee into my place and start the process all over again.

What i am about to say will probably make sense to you as to why I compare them to locust....they consume/damage all the local financial resources of their area then when it gets to expensive to live in said area that they voted/welcomed they move to another area with greener grass bringing their $h!ttry voting record with them that caused said problem in the first place.....in their mind utopia won't be achieved till the whole country is like the European Union.

Pay attention to the two comments above yours, antithesis, as they "get it". Anyone (you included) who thinks that eradication of police makes SENSE has NO SENSE.

It's not about eradicating the police, it's about replacing the police with services that are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the people that they are dealing with. Who knows, maybe fewer people will be unnecessarily shot? Wouldn't that be nice?

Our freedoms, rights, Capitalism, along with American exceptionalism have made our country great. Also, if you refer back to the video I posted, the people who "get it" are NOT the ones wanting to abolish the police so you could add the "Rule of Law" as being integral to successful and accomplished people. That is why conservatives who believe in personal responsibility will win in 2020 as we are not "People Gone Wild" as represented by your radical Party.

So, the freedom of expression, freedom of movement, the right to peaceable assembly (unless you're in Trump's way it seems).
The right not to practice religion, the legal right to have an abortion, the right for people to be secure in their houses (unless you are black and the police think you look suspicious, apparently), the right for people to be secure in their persons against unreasonable searches or seizures (again, unless you're black), the right to petition the government, the right to have a revolution; that sort of thing?

Just letting the police do what they want when they want in a country that's supposed to be against government tyranny and in favor of due process makes more sense?

All police are not bad. Work with the ones who need some reform but we need law and order. The people who complain the most about police are generally the ones who interact with them for a reason. In other words, don't do the crime if you can't do the time. My husband and I have been stopped by police and we show our license, insurance, etc. to them in a respectful manner and we are on our way. I have seen so many problems due to non-compliance and disrespect thrown at police officers.

Good for you. The council have had it with doing it your way, though. Doesn't work. Police keep shooting people who don't look like you.

The way I have seen some of these "protesters" & BLM people rioting and destroying stuff, I can
see why shots might be necessary. Sick of people who don't think that the rules and laws apply

I don't know what police state you're from, but in America, police don't judge who deserves to get shot - courts do.

Every branch of government from council to governor is Democrat run. If the police are toxic, they created them. They determined the rules, laws, and procedures. Democrats failed their people. Now they seek a blood offering to appease the savages. But making stupid decisions doesn't beget smart outcomes. This decision won't reduce crime, help those in poverty, or anything else. Weak people make weak decisions. Democrats, liberals, and progressives are weak people.
