Here is their "HERO"

Floyd pleaded guilty to a robbery where another suspect posed as a worker for the local water department, wearing a blue uniform in an attempt to gain access to a pregnant BLACK woman’s home, according to the charging document.

But when the pregnant woman opened the door, she realized he was not with the water department and attempted to close the door, leading to a struggle.

At that time, a Ford Explorer pulled up to the home and five other males exited the car and went up to the front door.

The report states the largest of the group, who the victim later identified as Floyd, ‘forced his way inside the residence, placed a pistol against the complainant’s abdomen, and forced her into the living room area of the residence.

‘This large suspect then proceeded to search the residence while another armed suspect guarded the complainant, who was struck in the head and sides by this second armed suspect with his pistol while she screamed for help.’

Not finding any drugs or money at the house, the men took jewelry and the woman’s cell phone and fled in their car. A neighbor who witnessed the robbery took down the car’s license plate number.

Later, police tracked down the car and found Floyd behind the wheel. He was later identified by the woman as the large suspect who placed a gun against her stomach and forced her into her living room, the document states.

Bob, the sake of discussion since there isn't a cited source, let's agree this account is truthful. If so, then George Floyd should have been legally arrested, and if the evidence supports the account, and sufficient for prosecution, then he should have been prosecuted. Only then, if found guilty, would he go to jail, so he could pay for his criminal behavior and activity. That is law and order. I certainly hope (well, I'm pretty sure I know) you didn't post this to somehow excuse what was done to him, which was akin to mob rule.

Floyd was murdered. No doubt whatsoever. Accidental? Possibly. Gross negligence? Definitely.
But he was no choir boy deserving of four state funerals each carried on national television. He was a thug and a six time convicted felon.

I think most rational people, which I hope includes us, would agree that Floyd is not the ideal candidate for this type of martyrdom. That doesn't mean he surrendered any of his constitutional rights.

Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder in the court of public opinion long before he was even arrested. What if, after his trial, he gets acquitted or a lessor conviction? Do you think there will be any law and order from the black communities of this nation?
The riots and protests we’re seeing now will pale in comparison, especially since our police forces will be critically hobbled by lack of funds, restrictions and a general lack of people willing to join the force due to the combative nature their job has become.

If he isn't convicted and given the max sentence possible, there will be more riots, and you're right, they'll be worse. And it won't be just the black communities, if that happens. Even now it's not just the black communities.

You didn't ask, but it if were up to me, I'd give the police more funding *and* cut down on what they have to do. Things like dealing with the crazy people, the homeless people (yes, a lot of overlap there, but certainly not in every case) and all the other things we expect them to do because we just don't care enough to deal with those issues head on. That way the police would be able to focus on what they should be doing, and only what they should be doing, which would give them a fighting chance to do it well. That would possibly increase the chance of getting good people to want to become police officers.
