Jesus, you need to have a drink and calm to hell down.
I was in the NRA for about ten years till I stopped drinking the kool-Aid, realizing it was nothing more than a cash cow for a handful of corporate exec's so they could buy expensive suits. To say dems are taking guns away is nothing more than a scare tactic. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
To do so:
The first process requires that any proposed amendment to the Constitution be passed by both the House and the Senate with two-thirds majorities. It would then need to be ratified by three-fourths of the 50 states – or 38 of them.
The second option for repealing an amendment is to hold a Constitutional Convention. In that case, two-thirds of state legislatures would need to call for such a convention, and states would write amendments that would then need to be ratified by three-fourths of the states.
So, any Dem or Repub who says, "they're taking our guns away" is either full of shit or grossly uninformed. It ain't happening in our lifetimes! Our nation is split completely down the middle on guns. There is NO WAY we lose the 2nd.
One party State:
You do know we've had more than just Dems and Repubs over the years, right? If either party dissolves, it will be replaced by something else. Right now we have dozens of political parties in the US. There is about as much chance of us becoming a one party state as there is a chance of repealing the second amendment.
You might as well be worried about the return of dinosaurs.
You don't want to PAY for abortion?
1, So instead of paying a few hundred dollars, you'd rather pay $8,000, the average cost of birth.
2. You'd rather pay the full cost for the 75% of those who today choose abortion who are low income, to have their unwanted child in an unprepared home by a parent who is not ready to have a child (75% are low income so taxpayers would pay the full cost)
3. You'd rather pay food and clothing for those low income children, possibly to adulthood, as their mothers are more likely to remain in poverty and more likely to remain unproductive due to having a child
4. You'd rather pay for the increased police required for the delinquents growing up in poverty and the crimes they will commit.
That sounds like an expensive decision.
Do the math for ten years out. You will find that your "choice", would cost the American taxpayer trillions of dollars over ten years.
