Brian Stelter | BUT IF WE DON'T RACE BAIT, HOW CAN WE GET RATINGS? | image tagged in brian stelter | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
What people always fail to realize in situations like this is that it's not a race problem, it's a class problem.

The media didn't kill Floyed or Arbery, they just reported it. Kaepernik knelt for that reason and y'all claimed unpatriotic, now here we are.

No he didn't. He knelt for his own personal gain. And just because a bad cop kills someones doesn't mean every cop is a bad cop. Only fools believe that. Go a head and keep making it about race but until there's evidence it was, you're just race baiting for the f**k of it and because you hate anyone who disagrees with you.

No, I wasn't talking about one specific incident in my meme. The bringing up race comment was referring to him making the specific incident about race, when there is no evidence it was about race. If it had been a white cop killing a white citizen no one would be rioting and demanding justice.

My bad, given the timing and the way the discussion was going, I erred.

As for ''If it had been a white cop killing a white citizen no one would be rioting and demanding justice,'' the issue is that that isn't a common occurence, not like this, anyways.

Race may play a role in it, but also economic class as well, as poorer people in general tend to be treated not as well as more well off sorts by police. The ability to hire better legal help is a great deterent.

Regardless, there is a history of treatment beyond unfair. There are many people alive today who remember when lynching was legal. From their perspective, this isn't all that far removed from that, only with a badge to make it permissable.

"Race may play a role in it, but also economic class as well, as poorer people in general tend to be treated not as well as more well off sorts by police"

Bingo.

As for the idea that whites aren't being killed by cops as often as blacks, that stat is inaccurate. They just don't get reported by mainstream media and don't create hysteria like blacks being killed. The true tragedy is black on black crime, which make up the vast majority of killings in the United States.

Own what, exactly? What I said is true. If he weren't doing all this for personal gain, he'd be back in football right now, kneeling for the real victims. Inner city black on black crime that claims the lives of over 700 black people annually in Chicago alone. But he wants to focus on something that statistically isn't even much of an issue.

Remember, just because it's in the news doesn't make it a major problem. You want to act like just because I dont jump the gun and call this a racist issue before we have facts, I'm some kind of racist.
8 ups, 4y
F**k, i know! Can't the dust settle before the media pushes for a race war? No doubt it was police brutality, regardless if he resisted, but is every black cop that kills a white guy also racist? Not likely.

You're right. Allllll better now. Feeling good about yourself? A man is dead, and your smug ass is jumping at the first sign of hope in an exoneration? Restraining him contributed, when the guys says he cant breathe and asks for help,..........what would YOU do?
1 up, 4y,

Well, how about waiting for all the facts before rioting?

And if I had major underlying medical issues, I probably wouldn't resist arrest and put myself in potential danger.

Are you going to apologize to all the owners of the stores burnt down if Floyd died of an OD?

Oh yes, asking questions about what really happened is 'excusing' his death. All you leftists just run on emotion.

No, you're right, what was I thinking!

Are you serious?

Did you not watch the video?

2.53 minutes after Floyd went unresponsive he still had his knee on his neck.
2 ups, 4y,
2 replies
I did. But we didn't see what happened before he hit the ground.

Do you know for sure the knee was cutting off his airflow? He already fell, complaining about not being able to breathe while standing up. If he died from a combination of drugs, medical issues and the stress/panic of being arrested, does it change the situation at all? Is it still murder 2?

F**k, can't anyone ask questions and try to see the other side than the 'racist cop murders black man for sport cuz America sucks' angle?
2 ups, 4y
Guess that hardly puts you in a position to say what did occur then.

Pretty sure once a person is out for nearly 3 minutes he's even more immobile than before. Just a hunch.

Floyd was pretty compliant throughout the video, I did not see much resisting, sitting down, getting up, collapsing, getting up, then boom, 3 cops on top of him, 3, average weight of each cop say 180lbs.

*shrugs*

Thought it was worth asking since the report about the autopsy saying he wasn't asphyxiated was just reported today.

But you're right, although I never said I did.

This is giving me flashbacks of the mysterious heart ailment that would leave contusions on the body that 'Blacks' and Puerto Ricans USED TO get like an awful lot while in police custody in NYC.

Apparently a cure was found, as it seemed to have pretty much ended somewhere between Abner Louima impaling his rectum with a mop handle in 1997 while in his jail cell after making too much noise leaving a party at a club and Amadou Dialo getting 41 bullets in him reaching for his ID in 1999.

I knew someone who died from getting one of those heart attacks during his arrest for graffitti painting on the Subway in the 1980s.
Who woulda thunk, spray cans cause heart attacks that leave bruises all over the body? Well, for the darker races anyways.

Sure, I can imagine how bad some NYPD cops back in the 80's and 90's. No doubt.

But let me ask. When do you think the fairest point was in our lifetimes? When was the fairest system in place? Was there a point it was better?
0 ups, 4y
If there was ever a fairest or better point or system in our lifetimes, people would have strived to keep it that way.

He commented on the cop killing the black man incident. Unless you're referring to something else I'm not aware of?

But like I said when Obama was president and chiming in on all racial issues. It's not their job to do so.

1 up, 4y,

Possibly. It's more likely that much of the damage was caused by just a few.

This situation is so blatantly wrong, the entire nation should be protesting. If the mayor can't make a decision today, he needs to go too.

I don't condone the destruction of personal property but when a state condones the open killing of its own citizens, I can understand why some people believe the whole system needs to be burned down. Our entire society is f-d up and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
3 ups, 4y,

Who condones it? This just happened. Let justice take it's course. That cop will probably serve time.

If you burn down the infrastructure, during this economically tough times, do you think it'll be so easily replaced? I really think we in the west think we can never fail and tumble into 3rd world conditions. Like success is just a given.

We most certainly can fail and tumble into 3rd world conditions. Have you not looked around lately?

Do you think logic prevails in a mob mentality when people are so angry?

They are angry because this great, "success" you speak of has failed them.
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
No, I get the effect of a mob on people.

Really? This is the fairest time with the most civil liberties in history. So much so, that the only racist policy is affirmative action, which benefits minorities over white for no reason other than skin color.

Just curious, if Floyd died from an OD, what now? Mobs attacking drug dealers and burning down their houses?

The current estimate from Minnesota State officials: 80% of those burning down buildings and robbing stores, are from outside Minnesota.

Many are anarchist, skinheads, white supremacists stoking fear and hatred of blacks and taking home tweenkies to their momma's basement.

The USA made its entry into the path to Third World Country status in 2017.

We don't get to pretend the next President will say, "Ooops, sorry about that, someone let the tard out of the playpen," and return us back to what we were.
Oh, other countries will squeeze out what last drops they can, but the US is over, done.
